Just do exactly what you did with the game's files. The update has both dt and ls, so extract them normally then put them in some folder or merge them with the games files to have all the files in one place

What tool did you used to rip the 1.1.5 update?

And what tool did you used to extract and then rebuild the update?

I used Asias81's tool to mod the music, but I really want to change the update to remove the pac man song included there. (As well as get custom music on the DLC stages)

Well my boy, I got the update from that iso site. And you don't need to rebuild the update, just decrypt the cia, and extract with asia81's tool, then you have the files!

I see, thanks!

But how can I get the custom music in the DLC stages then? is there a way to rebuild an update? Just the same way as if it was a game cia?

I assumed you were using SaltySD, are you not? It's impossible to rebuild the dt and ls files meaning you cant rebuild an update with many custom things...

EDIT: Im not sure how to rebuild, but if youre just changing music, it IS possible iirc

I'm having some issues. I'm trying to decrypt a 1.1.5 US update; but when I use Decrypt9, I don't get any files (literally nothing). Am I supposed to and what am I looking for?

when the cia is decrypted, the output is literally the same cia file, you just need to trust that it is.

- Thanks for the clarification. My bigger problem now is trying to extract the decrypted .cia using the HackingTookit. It tells me "the system cannot find the path specified" and "could not find c:\PackHack\DecryptedPartition(0,1,2,6 and 7)".

Try removing spaces from all directories leading to it

Someone has managed to decrypt the DLC and rebuild a custom one, whoever when asking said, he didn't replied on how he did it.

Apparently, theres some info lying around here at GBATemp on how to rebuild a custom DLC, but yeah, it should be possible. I don't want to use salty because I would like to continue playing online.

saltysd works online, you will just desync if you try to use a modified character if your opponent doesnt have the same edits.
