I just bought a PSP go and I was planning to put CFW on it, but I saw that it already has VSH on it. I want to get VSH off and put CFW on. How can I do this?

I did not read your whole OP sorry, you can upgrade if you want but you won't have perma cfw like you do now. If you update it you will need fast recovery everytime you shut the psp off. it purely up to you.
All late 2000, 3000 and GO models on 6.20+ cannot use permanent CFW because of the motherboard. They have to use safe recovery everytime they boot up, now if your on 6.20 like yours is, it can boot perma because of the later OFW having patches for CFW to block them out. I do not believe there is anything major game wise that has a effect on those who are on 6.20 and those on higher cfw.
Best CFW is debatable for some, I say yes you can run still games that require newer FW through a plugin (dissidia 012, growlanser etc) even though your on 6.20 pro b 10
Honestly I never used those plug-ins so I have no idea what the name is of it. You should be able to find out what ones you have by hooking up your psp to your computer and looking in the SEPLUGIN folder it will be in VSH folder I believe.
One more question. I was looking at using two PSPs. The Go is going to be the one I play on for it's small size and high battery life and I was going to have another for use pretty much exclusively for making the ISO backups of games I buy with. Which model PSP and what version of CFW would you say is best for ripping games with?
So if I am understanding correctly does 6.20 and 6.60 refer to the official firmware that came on the PSP before having CFW put on? And that I would need to find a 2000 or 3000 that has 6.60 to put 6.60 PRO-C on?
Yes but also remember if you wanted to update your go now to 6.60 and wouldnt mind having to boot into recovery when its off then on again you can still install pro c cfw on 6.60.
I looked at some other pages and found a mention of a 6.35 that can be perma CFW. What is that? Also what would be the advantages of doing the 6.60? How would I even go about upgrading?
