-hi i cut this part off-
PS: Fuck smartphones, handheld gaming has become somewhat dull because of them.
If you ask me, the only kinda games smartphones n' shit are good for is games that are usually played to kill time, like Bejeweled or whatever. I wouldn't really wanna play a full-length RPG game on my smartphone if I had one, I mean, just playing games like Infection Inc. on one of my friend's iPhones for an extended period of time feels weird. Probably an uncommon opinion but w/e.

Me neither, but smartphone have sucked out most developers from the real handheld game systems, and now you have less games, less quality... It is horrible, so again, die smartphone gaming, die!

Yea smart phone gaming is a cancer, the whole concept of Micro transactions came from there
and from the stupid people that buy them. I know some real waste of DNA that feel proud they
spent 400$ on Clash of Clans smh

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Ooh. Did I cause all of that?

Cause all of what? I've had this opinion since a couple of years now

This is why I have an Japanese EmuNAND.

1st off: The games from Americas are crap (Except the Mario, Zelda, and some english-translation games, to name a few), because mostly 3rd Party games appear in the 3DS scene except for games like "Puyo Puyo", River City Ransom, and possibly EARTHBOUND. :glare:

2nd: The American developers for Video Games are pretty stupid. Not to be rude or anything. Like Reggie, president of NOA, he is trying to prevent EarthBound to be released. EarthBound is a pretty great game, actually. It showcases Ness trying to save the world from Giygas. Puyo Puyo's translations are pretty stupid as well. Like Dr. Robotics Mean Bean Machine replaces Puyo Puyo 1 from the Game Gear. I mean, why does Sega replace such a blue-puddled character with BEANS?! And also, River City Ransom hasn't been in the works in YEARS, except for in 2006 for GBA, and in the NES days. In Japan, it's different. They got a whole COLLECTION full of games. Petty dumb that not much of NOA didn't want this game released anyway. Or perhaps the ol' company closed down, not sure.

3rd: The Japanese develop everything. Name it: Anime, Video Games, possibly some everyday objects (China is the usual one who does this), and some more. While us Americans just find it hard to develop video games because we don't have the skill to do SO. Much rather than Iwata, which died... but the English needs SOMETHING to do about this!

I am terribly sorry if I insulted everybody in this post. Just telling my true thoughts about this. I may check the Japanese eShop more, but I also missed the USA eShop as well. The last time I checked on the USA eShop was on (Maybe) March or April. But I checked it again on a friends 3DS a few weeks ago. Not much except for that Project Mirai game that's gonna come out internationally which is surprising.

My USA New 3DS will arrive on my house estimated tomorrow maybe 1:00 PM Central Time (I live in Kentucky so yeah). I got big plans for it when it arrives (DS Profile Exploit, unlink Japanese EmuNAND, relink my old EmuNAND, system transfer, etc.).

You love to insult occidental developers while praising japanese ones, while occidental developers are always creating impressive things and proving their ability and creative potential.
Last of Us, Mortal Kombat, Assassin's Creed, GTA, Crash Bandicoot, Witcher, Far Cry, The Elder Scrolls, Gears of War,
Rayman, Sleeping Dogs, Uncharted, God of War, Bioshock, Red Dead Series, Batman Arkham Series, Mass Effect etc

People want mobile games, we know because they show us all with their money. Most developers, most small studios have no choice. The people that rant and rave about how awful it is having a choice of platforms and games to play are the worst.

I agree completely with you.
I am an indie game developer and I program to iOS simply because I do not have how to make games to consoles.
Beside, before creating a console quality game you have to start by developing simpler stuff, and mobile is the best scenario for it.

The 3DS hasn't really disappointed me since its launch back in 2011. Now, it has some great titles that I genuinely enjoy playing. On the other hand, the Wii U was disappointing throughout its entire console life span to this day. Sure, there's MK, Sm4sh, and Splatoon, but quite frankly, there isn't much quality content that it has going for it.

The worst? Why, how?
I am very sleepy so I won't formulate further, but I hope you are having a good time drinking tea with your local non ranting pedophile rapist, as clearly he is not so bad, you know, he doesn't rant about mobile gaming platforms.

The only two games I got this year were Majora's Mask 3D and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., and the latter was just for reviewing purposes.

So yeah, I'd say it's been disappointing. The Wii U has had more games that caught my eye this year.

When someone tries to use reductio ad absurdum they're never helping whatever argument they have.

What argument?
PS: there isn't any really, other than feeling offended. But I agree that I should reply making some sense. Later I will probably reply correctly, but for now I will make some notes: it is regarding being part of a minority and ranting because you know something you care about is going to be lost. Then being called "the worst" because you express your opinion is disproportionate and offending. The bad post was kind of a parody of the disproportionate usage of "the worst", by being even more disproportionate, but I agree it didn't go so well.

When developers try lazily to port a console-like game for mobile it usually sucks because
the controls were never meant to be on a touch screen and weren't addapted properly,
but when you play a quality game that was designed with mobile controls in mind
the experience is very satisfying. Recently I bought Leo's Fortune on iOS, it won an Design Award at WWDC,
and I must say this one of the best games I ever played on mobile and one of the few plataformers 2D
that actually work properly on mobile devices.

Well, considering 90% of games that Nintendo makes now are for the overpriced wii U, yes it's very dissapointing this year, only good games were smash and uhh yeah have seen very few games for 3DS this year

for me personally, i was disapointed with the releases this year, played a handful of games and only got a few hours out of xenoblades until it eventually grew off me, heck i use my vita more than my 3ds now. I find the games are overpriced even when on sale for 3ds. Even used copies are overpriced at gamestop. Sony didnt have much either but Sony's flash sales were insane this year. Great titles. I mean i got gravity rush for a buck, child of light for 5 bucks and the list goes on. For value overall, i feel sony has the upper hand so far this year
