Hacking Is there anyway to make the RxTools browser exploit offline on the Old 3DS?

Using the browser exploit is hit and miss on my 3ds and I have to reboot over and over until it loads Rx Emunand.

I'd like to find a way to make it work offline as well since I plan to use it on the plane.

I downgraded the Mset using the rx tools menu with the correct region and file at the root of my sd card.

When I use the qr code to install the mset exploit, that works fine since it gives me the error that its meant to give and has me restart.

Problem is, when I go to settings, profile, ds profile; nothing happens. I don't get the rx tools menu to show. Even when I hold the R button.

This is on sysnand.

My sysnand is 8.1 and emunand 9.8.

This is on a euro original 3ds.

I just downgraded my 3DS using Gateway's tool (didn't need a Gateway 3DS, just any DS-mode flash card, I have an R4-Gold RTS myself if I remember right) to get back to 4.x and installed MSET there. Not sure how MSET works on 8.1.

Don't own any flash cards unfortunately :'(

You dont need a flashcart to make the downgrade or install the MSET.

The mset support is only for 4.X and 9.0-9.2, so you're only option is to downgrade and/or update.

Downgrade&&use modified spiderx to load rxtools.dat(rename DOES NOT WORK, different encryption!). Look at patched rxtools thread, pages20+, once installed, it will load rxtools.dat on ds profile enter permanently, offline. Using it now.

Can you walk me through step by step? I'm extremely new to this and don't want to brick my 3ds :'(

- Put your nand backup on your sd card
- Download the downgrade file from your region and put it on your sd card http://www.gateway-3ds.com/downloads/
- in the gateway menu, select the downgrade option.

And no, it won't affect your emunand.

Once I downgrade, then will I just be able to go to the DS profile menu and hold R to load the rxtools exploit or is there more that I have to do? I already downgraded the MSET using rxtools, would I have to do that again?

I can't seem to find this thread even with the search on the forum.
