Is there a way to a import cartridge save to rom.3dz with a different header? Wasting half of a day, I have searched and tried different methods but none worked so far

NVM. I got it working now.

On emunand 9.8 with Gateway Version 3.2.2, I can not start a game that requires unlocking ram (super smash bros , MH4... ) Is it does for everyone? Or am I the only one with such problems ?

Hey guys, I got a gateway working on a 4.4 3ds, played everything fine so far, but can't get Monster Hunter 4 to work, the game loads then gets a black screen after I boot it and the 3ds freezes, I have to turn off power to make it work again, is the game playable on gateway? What can I do to fix it?
I'm still running the 4.4 version, I didn't mess with emunand to update the system to the latest version, could that be the problem?
Sd card is a 32gb sandisk, in case that makes some difference to the solving of the problem.

Hoping that someone can help or at least point some direction in this forum where I can see that, since I made some search and couldn't find anything specific to this related.

SO, is it possible to downgrade MSET on a 9.2 o3ds to launch gateway emunand from the DS profile?
I've read that it can be done, but I have never read about someone actually doing it.

I know you can launch rxtools from a downgraded MSET tho.

Just checked and it indeed works. :)

But after I have opened the game, if I press "HOME" and try to suspend the software, the system resets itself to sysnand and I have to open gateway again.
Why does that happen?
It does restart because it's an developer "hack" to use extended memory on 3ds games (mh4 and smb) ... You can launch another software like Mii Editor to avoid console to restart!

Use the Blue Card to run "GW_INSTALLER.nds" to reinstall the NVRAM profile. That's all that's needed.

Some people have been able to get the NVRAM profile to "stick", but I don't know the details.

If I update my emunand , and this the first time (still haven't installed it) will it update to say 9.9 or 9.5 ? Do .cia need headers ? I heard they don't .

If you update using the "System Update" option in System Settings, it will get the newest version, 9.9. If you are using a New 3DS, this will render you unable to boot the emuNand (since emuNand above 9.5 isn't supported yet on New 3DS). If you use 3DNUS to obtain CIA files to update, or use a card/rom with an update, it will update to whatever version you select that way.

CIA files do not need headers. They use the console's ID in place of a Card ID.

So, then how can I update to 9.5 ? Or let me rephrase my question , considering untill this moment (Waiting for things to arrive ) I didn't do anything to my n3ds and when I will ; using the newest GW update (As in the files in rar format provided there ) it is going to give what firmware of emunand ?

The Gateway download does not contain any system update. When you create an emuNand, it will be an exact copy of your current sysNand, so it'll be whatever System Version your sysNand currently is, have the same Console ID, use the same folders, have the same titles installed, and share some of the same settings. (This is what's meant by them being "linked", they can be "unlinked" by formatting one of them, which causes it to generate a new Console ID, and thus use different folders and stop stepping on each others' toes.)

To update to a specific version, such as 9.5, your options are to use 3DNUS to download the update as a collection of .CIA files which you can then install, or to use a rom with a specific System Version on it and disable Gateway's update blocker. The 3DNUS method is preferred because it's a bit less error-prone, lets you pick exactly the version you want, and card updates don't include internet components.

The Gateway download contains:
- Kernel and menu files for the Blue Card, an NDS-mode flash card based on the R4i, included to be able to install the DS Profile to NVRAM that triggers the exploit used on System Version 4.x.
- A .CIA file to unblock the Blue Card on later firmwares so it can be used.
- A rom-splitting tool to be used if you choose to have your Red Card's microSD card formatted to FAT32 instead of exFAT (Not recommended).
- The Launcher.dat that is the Gateway Launcher and menu. This is the file that the exploit runs, in order to enter Gateway Mode and launch emuNand and other patches.
- A downgraded version of the System Settings app you can install on a New 3DS to use the NVRAM Profile Exploit instead of having to rely on Cubic Ninja/Zelda: OoT.
- Saved games to be injected into Cubic Ninja and Zelda: OoT to trigger their exploits.
- A text file with update news and a "quick guide" that's somewhat outdated.

To update an emuNand to 9.5, all you need is 3DNUS to get the .CIA files, and a .CIA installer such as BigBlueMenu or DevMenu. Make sure you are in emuNand before installing, you don't want to update your sysNand. And you should make backups of both before doing anything.

Okay , thank you very much . Once I get all the stuff that I need I will do so .
