Yes, the ram call certains files in the rom, and you can change what it calls, let's say the ram say "load barber.bin and barber.obj when you enter the barbershop", you modify it, it will become "load island.bin and island.obj when you enter the barbershop", very simplified but that's how it works

however the rom files would be very helpful to know what you're modifying... I mean, what is a bcre file, what is the difference between idr, fobj and sobj ? What is in the bin files and why nothing change when you null the .bin bytes ? You can't figure out this without the rom files

Ahhh, I see. So changing NSMB2 levels could technically be possible with only editing the ram, like making the last level 1-1.

Hey has anyone figured out the encyclopedia? Like a way to 100% complete it? I've looked around all of these threads and haven't found anything.

Where did you find this acre ? I actually tried 255 acres, I don't remember this particular acre. It's probably a cliff, and if it's in-game, then yes it's possible to use it in your town

Okay so I found how to complete the encyclopedia, it worked fine in my game.

It starts at 0x00006C20 and ends at 0x00006C8F, put "FF" to all the bytes between the offsets, like this :

Your encyclopedia should be completed, however this code is not "optimised", it may cause crashes.

hey, i'm having a problem with my signposts. i originally had 1 which i moved with the ram editor to next to the train station, where the bulletin board was. that was working ok apart from that occasionally the design on it disappeared. then a couple of days ago i made another one which i moved just in front of one of my player houses. then when i put a design on one board, it went on both. i've tried deleting the second board, moving the house and placing it again with isabelle, then moving the house back, but it didn't change anything and i've realised i can't do that with the train station board because it's too close to the edge of the map for isabelle to accept it. apparently there might be a way to fix this with hex editing?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to place Island Lloid (value 69) in front of my house, but it doesn't work. What I'm doing wrong?
