This triwing screw from my GBA SP won't come off. I've been using the right tools, but this screw wont give up. It is the screw from the screen part of a gba sp shell. Any solutions? Thanks if you help.

EDIT: Just figured how to do it, I've used a different tool and it worked.

Just gotta keep cranking on it then ;)

It might have some sort of threadlocker or other glue in there to keep it from backing out accidentally, you can try actually tightening it a tiny bit (1/8 a turn or less, even that'd be too much) then backing it out. But if the whole thing just isn't turning at all, you just need to turn harder is all.

Edit - you could maybe try warming it up with a hair dryer a bit, but be careful since it still has the screen in it.

I might try the hair dryer thing because the screen actually isn't there. So far nothing has worked. Thanks.

Then you're just going to have to find a way to apply a lot of torque to the screw (get a triwing bit for a milti head screwdriver? I think Harbor Freight sells a kit with one) as well as downward force (put the lid assembly on a table and push down a bit while turning, don't overdo it though) They're just really stubborn sometimes :gun: but it'll come out with due patience and a little elbow grease. Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions... if there's no electronics left in it whatsoever you could maybe try soaking it in some very hot water for 5-10 minutes.

This screw won't give up  the screwdriver is moving freely without the screw moving at all :hateit: I swear this is really angering me

Sounds like you stripped it. I would be really careful. and take a drill and drill the head of the screw out.
