Yeah if it turns out that having 10 games at a time on the cart is the only limit, then I wouldn't mind this too much at all. It still needs to be at most half the price of a Gateway before I'd consider buying it though given the limited functionality it has in comparison.

The ten game limit is only speculation at this time concerning rewriteablity aspects, everyone needs to relax until that is actually proven to be the case. Still I would buy it even with that limitation if the price was right if only for the sake of having ten of my games on one card and not having to carry the carts around with me.

It is not speculation. It has been confirmed multiple times in multiple ways by the manufacturer themselves.

People who are on higher firmware (5.x +) are like the uncool kids at high school that didn't get invited to the party by the cool kids (4.x 3DS)

All the cool kids are inside are having fun (homebrew, unlimted roms) and getting bitchez, but the poor uncool kids are sitting at home being bored (10 game limit)

Analogies aside, what I'm getting at here is get a lower firmware 3DS. With all the CFW-CIA business going on, you high-FW guys are missing out!

This cart has one thing on GW: it works on all 5.x+ systems meaning all 2DSes, newer limited edition 3DSes, and New 3DSes will only work with it and never be supported by GW (in its current incarnation). Hopefully GW can provide a dual method of operation by some RE work but I am doubtful.

I'm sure that I want to play more than 50 games (eshop included) on my 3DS XL. But I'm also sure I WILL NOT HAVE THE TIME!!!!! :(

eShop games won't work since they can't be legitimately re-encrypted.

Yes but they said something about the New 3DS which just came out in japan not long ago. If they found something that will work on the New then it will probably work on your 2ds. As of right now they run the same firmware.

they have said for a long time that they work for the newest version , but always nothing, i dont think i can trust them

True but they never promised to actually get a new exploit working. Just wait. If aky3ds is truly real gateway will have a 9.x exploit soon. It may not be exactly the same but I am willing to bet it will still be better if it isn't. They said they had tricks up their sleeves. Them saying that means they bat least found something. So be a little more patient. You've gone this long without a flash cart. what's a little longer wait gonna cost? Nothing you can't afford.

I have a gateway. I love it. But I really hope sky3ds is real and works. Then we will have two competent teams and mt(they are competent when they do their own work). This means more competition and more extras. Gateway will still be at the top but there is that 4.5 limitation. So we will have to wait and see what comes from this. Just be patient. I don't care what you end up buying but it would be nice if you got more bang for you buck.

Ableist language isn't cool.

Anyway, the issue is that you cannot switch games. Once you hit the 10 game limit, you have to buy a new card.

This is technically a forum for adults. He didn't break any rules by saying damn. I've seen people in here use the f word. Unless of course I'm missing what you mean. If not then shit. We have the right to speak the way we want when we want until told otherwise by a mod. Then again you could mean language in a discriminatory way which I see none of. Because surely 9/10s of people don't know that spaz is a slur for kids or people with cerebral palsy. Especially since spaz was used before without ableist intentions. Spazz simply means freaking out before people like you came along saying shit like this.

Someone will be able to remove the limit I'm sure.

god this site has gotten terrible

And I bet you play all 88 games once a day, right? God this site has gotten terrible of late.

I'd rather have options and freedom, sky3ds are about to pull your pants down. You don't get any lube either with that 10 games max card lol.

Personally, I don't think this is too bad. Sure it doesn't match the capabilities of flash carts on 4.5 firmware, but unlike them, it'll work on any 3DS firmware from what I understand.

While 10 games may be limiting for hardcore gamers, 10 games on one card is still great for a casual 3DS gamer like myself. Besides, we'll all have our original carts to play as well, right? ;)

There is one thing I don't understand though. If the card uses an SD card to store the games, why is it limited to 10 games that can't be overwritten? Is there some data that is flashed to the Sky3DS card once you run a game? Perhaps saves are saved on the card?

Yeh or you must be very lazy to not change it for a year.

What a psycho, maximizing the utility of his flashcart for the sake of his convenience.

I load mine up too, a 64gb flashcard can be gotten for less than $40 and I don't want to have to sort through my roms folder and find out where I left my microSD card adapter if I feel like playing a particular game or have a friend or relative who wants to give a game a try.

Part of the joy of the 3DS is the portability, I'll have it at times when I won't have my computer around at all to go swapping games.

Haters gonna hate indeed.

i think the main issue here is that say you own your sky3ds for a year and you do get through 9 of them to play your years worth of games, your going to need to either
A: have 9 micro SD cards and keep them in each card so you don't get confused about which of your 9 cards can play which games
B: have the 1 microSD and keep wiping it every time you want to go back to a old card to play a game you used a slot on the last card(not to mention they haven't said anything about if they have a simple way to retrieve your saves if you decided to format the card, and probably have to write which games are on each card or something
C: just keep buying sky3ds cards as you forget which SD was for which and accidentally use up all the slots on your new card by inserting a SD with games intended to use on your maxed out card

sounds like fun

The 10 game limit won't affect me, because I've decided I'm gonna buy one sky3ds card for each game I want to play. Then to make my collection look nice, I'm going to buy a retail copy of each game, throw out the obsolete genuine cartridge, and keep each sky3ds cartridge in the case of the appropriate game. It's gonna be sweet.
