Hacking Persona 2 Innoscent Sin Climax Theatre Hack Project

Hi all,

I'm new here and have no idea if this topic already exists or if I've posted this in the wrong thread, but I was wondering if anyone is experienced enough with hacking and translating things.

I'm hoping that the Climax theatre, bit of the US/EU version of persona 2:IS, which was hacked out can be reimplemented and that we can edit the DLC the Japanese got to be usable in our versions of the game.

In regards to the DLC, this should technically be possible as some bright spark discovered how to make the JP DLC for Phantasy Star Portable 2 work on the US/EU versions of the game on the PSP. All that it required was the folder to be renamed (different for US and EU versions). This was all untranslated of course as they didn't touch the files inside the folder. It appears as corrupted data on the SD Card, but plays just fine.

Hoping something similar could happen for the P2:IS game as I feel robbed not having this awesome content in the western release...we get robbed of good content so much - it's unfair

Just to clarify, I mean the quest creator for P2IS, as I know the climax theatre is implemented and allows the player to do 3 different quests iirc, but it would be nice to be able to play the JP DLC stories and make our own if we so wished

I'd love to see it happen, but the quests themselves aren't THAT great. I'd rather see the SMT community focus on getting Eternal Punishment PSP and SMT: Devil Summoner out, but I totally endorse this idea too.

Haha yeah I'm the same, but I don't think this project would take a great deal of time if the quest creator is just locked content...if it's only in the JP ISO then...it'll probably take a bit longer to make it compatible >_<. The DLC: I have no idea how people find ways to make it work with a different region game :/

I bet Atlus USA just deleted a few files. I don't expect it would be too hard to make that content playable in the US build. Now getting it in English, that would be the trick.

haha your right. To get it in English the file would have to be decrypted and then edited and encrypted again successfully >_<. Wish I knew how to do this sort of stuff - would be fun XD
