Hi,
does someone know where to buy these for cheap?

They are made of glass instead of cheap plastic.

I found 2 shops but one only sends inside Greece (but is very cheap) and the other is based in Australia and shipping is high:

I know Wiggatron sells them as an option with his modded backlit agb-001s, might be worth asking him where he gets them/how much he could sell them for separately.

Nevermind, i got a reply from Zerey (the guy with the GBA backlight mod) and he has the lens for 4$ and also battery covers for 2$.

so is it an optional lens you an order from Zerey or is it standard? I just heard about it the first time, guess mine still comes in plastic.

Why do you need a battery cover? Rechargeable battery?

Don´t know if he uses them in his premodded consoles, you might ask him.
I bought a cheap GBA from ebay, but the battery cover is missing.
So i will mod it by myself ans install the glass lens.

I know for a fact that they are actually the glass lenses that you're talking about. I've tried ordering from two places in the US only to get the shitty plastic ones for the same 10 bucks a pop (which is horse shit, 'cause you can get 'em on eBay for about .60 each without much trouble at all).

Zerhey uses the cheap plastic replacements (no offense to him, I do as well when folks don't want to pay for the pricey glass lenses).

lol. Does anyone have another source for this? Are the ones Zerey sells pretty unscratchable too? I remember wiggatron saying on another forum that someone told him these were pretty much unscratchable so I'd really like to get some, but this Aussie shop is just too expensive with shipping included.

I JUST talked with Zerey and I'll have about 30 coming my way ASAP. The best part is that they're VERY affordable and they do have the GBA logo on them, unlike many versions I've seen out there.

I plan on selling them for $10 each. USPS 1st class international to Australia looks like about 5 bucks for something that small. Plus, if you were ordering something else from me at the same time, the lenses are so small and light that it wouldn't add anything to that shipping cost

I'm going to use that when I mod my GBA with the back-lit when I get my birthday money. I also plan to get a rechargeable battery pack for it. I heard that the Nyko Wii charging station battery's work with the gba

here is the vid that proves it.

I also plan to get an EZ flash iv if they are still being sold by then. (witch hopefully they are)
