@Nikokaro it seems like a very active scene which I love to see. What are your favorite FEUniverse hacks?

Vision Quest, Last Promise, Terror of the Forest, Code of Black Knights, Eligor Spear, Isekai, and many more: some even more fun and engaging than the original titles.:gba:

I'm a huge GBA fan and not so much DS (it's cool too, just starting to explore it, but I will always prefer the tiniest portables) yet it still makes me cringe to see somebody rip a working top screen from a DS to make a macro

I haven't seen the video. but I understand that hinges aren't a part of DS reshell kits because there's no matching the quality of OEM hinges, so if the OG hinges are unworkable that's probably an acceptable condition of the DS to salvage into a macro.

The few replacement kits I have done had fine hinges.

then save the DS and get a GBA :rofl2:
an AliExpress new user coupon acquisition, for use with DS lite & EZ flash Omega (the one with case that is DS-lite sized!) I have higher hopes for the other also ordered still on the way, something I hope is an AceKard clone, but I get to try R4 first. DS stuff is pretty new to me

just a brag about my luck acquiring this 2004 27" Panasonic Tau. when I got my lovely 13" hitatchi I had a sad realization my disabled partner can't see a small screen and we needed bigger to play together. after long search yesterday that glorious chonk arrived. thanks to our friend who brought it from a breakroom

He's been the most advanced and innovative SM64 ROM hacker for several years now :hrth: check out their past works too. Are you a fan of SM64 hacks in general?

I'm interested in n64 ROMs which run on the hardware. I'm messing around with OoT redux but I have another Zelda hack from Kaze and also SM64 reduced lag on my cart both ready to try. I'm most interested in SM64 hacks polishing retail experience but I have seen very interesting new levels on twitch. I definitely want to have some great homebrew SM64 options in my ROM collection.

...the lack of support for the console that has it in of itself not be relevant...
Herm, that last sentence sounded better in my head. Anyhoo, I'm sure the forum section or group would do fine, albeit not as popular as others like Switch or Game Boy.

@FAST6191 it could be a failure in sales volume or winning the market competition or whatever but I appreciate it. There are plenty of great titles including many important firsts in 3d game design and a few games that appear frequently as "best game ever" such as the two Zeldas and Super Mario 64.
I got much of the Nintendo collection out of storage, no GameCube controller found. I do still have the PC adapter, but damn. Good news is, the n64 is here to use with this Hitachi I salvaged from my friend's garage last summer.

@JuanBaNaNa no composite & you're right it's from 89. I'll be on lookout for optimal mid-90s display but this one is very cool, love the woodgrain pattern on the case.

You could RGB mod it though, easier if you're in Europe since they seems to be naturally compatible with SCART.

@JuanBaNaNa I'd like to get it done, it's going to have to be later rather than sooner unfortunately.
I'm very offended to learn that some wiis are not Gamecube compatible and my $7 thrift find is one of them. Still worth $7 for sure but I'm bummed.

This video… yes, I know it. Datel (and lately somebody else as well) managed to produce unlicensed discs, but we can't do it with a $20 DVD burner.

"I honestly don't understand some of it."
The blog I linked needs a little background about optical media to understand.
I can send you a summary if you want.

Even if keeping it short (the complete stuff fills a big book and goes over my head), this topic is out of range for the 420 char limit.
This forces me to add it as a PDF attachment. No warranty: No research done, just taken from the depths of my damaged brain.
