  • I never use the Search button in Windows 11, it's so useless cause opening the Start menu and typing is literally the same thing lol.

I assigned 500GB of my SSD to the C drive, and just a few months later it is still not enough! Argh. :rofl2:

Tmw when you try to click on a process in Task Manager but you click on something else instead as the list updates itself...
What if we had government institutions where companies have to register their MSRP for products? It only is required if the company has a high market share, and if so, when they make a product and set an MSRP, that price needs to be registered at the government institution. After that, the company cannot increase the price further unless they prove to the institution it's absolutely necessary with paperwork.
This is minor thing so nobody may not even notice but on Windows, when you go to a Save As window, it's really inconvenient how if you want to click between two letters to put the cursor in, you need to click thrice. The first time would select everything, then the second time would select some other bunch of text, then finally you can put a cursor in one area. If only it went straight to the third...

I really like the Copy Paste buttons in File Explorer in Windows 11, it's super handy.

Huh. Honestly not sure that I've ever noticed those before. I'll have to take a peek next time I'm on my work laptop. Haven't made the jump on my home desktop yet, think I'll hold off until the OS matures a bit more and possibly changes -or workarounds/mods are made for- some of the things I dislike about it most.

Windows 8 through 10 had the same buttons if you set the command ribbon to always show, theyre just larger than the always-active smol ribbon of W11

Intel joining the GPU scene is awesome, I hope the competition helps prices and performance.
Learnt how to make a REST API with Python today, was able to host it online and do some GET and POST requests. Feels good.

Is it just me or is Shadowplay somehow now capturing HDR content well? Before it used to be over saturated and exposed, but now the recordings look normal even though recorded while HDR is on in game.
What's it like there? Crazy reports of people just chilling in the president's house

Reason being is we don't have petrol and gas, almost at all. Queues go on for kilometers lasting days without any fuel. We have power cuts due to it as well. Our currency has crashed by more than 50% before this issue, prices of everything have skyrocketed.

Wow that is crazy. Sorry to hear things are so dire there. Hope you are doing okay. Sadly doesn't seem like any of those actions are going to help with shortages. Hopefully the price of petrol calms down soon.

Starting React Native development makes me realize really how great Flutter is, React Native's code is all a mess with Node.js with unneccesarily complicated methodologies. Documentation is harder to find as well, whatever is available is trying to look like Greek.

Let's not even mention reusing parent into child components if you're using Angular1 as you're forced to create a NGModule and encapsulate all of them there, Even Angular2 has a hacky way of overriding a component to be treated as standalone NGModule.

It's not total crap, but it's a giant backend + frontend hack stitched together want-to-be framework. It's almost as it tries to replace HTML5 DOM + ECMA5+ implementation which sucks.

I fully agree from what I've experienced so far, I haven't even scratched the surface but what you're saying I have noticed already.

Bit the bullet and went with the latest Windows 11 insider preview build, it's heaven. Can't wait till preview gets file explorer tabs, looks sweet.

I'm gonna do what a lot of people did with Windows 7. Don't update until Windows 10 loses all security updates
Looks like I'm a proper full stack developer now. I'm working on a mobile app for a client and have managed to get images hosted, cache working, fluid transitions, database management, and a real time chat feature! :D
Got banned from asking questions on StackOverflow. It was really helpful at times but boy is it filled with assholes.

Ah, so it seems. StackOverflow (the site) is a really good cesspool of info, but posting Qs & As there is a pain. I left over a dispute on the amount of swearing in Arqade (which I had posted about but now can't find). It seems benign now, but I'm sure if I had stayed, there would be other issues, considering the way it was handled.

I do owe it to their old Q and A's though, have learnt a lot in that regard.
