Wii need your help!

I have heard a bunch of people saying that there is NO correlation between the Wii Serial Numbers and the version of Boot1 on the Wii causing Bootmii's Boot2 to work or not work. I've been repairing/moding Wiis for a while and there IS a correlation, I just haven't got the specifics yet. I need help from people who have installed Bootmii, to give the first 7 characters of their serial number and whether Bootmii's boot2 worked or didn't work. I will keep everything updated here.

Here's how I know there is a correlation: (I have only worked with US Wiis so this is all LU information). Many launch Wiis seem to have LU100XXXXXX-LU102XXXXXX, but within a few weeks came LU300XXXXXX and LU500XXXXXX. I believe the first number happens to be where the Wii was made (or something like that). The second number starts the serial of that series, which is why some people are saying that smaller serial numbers do not work while larger ones do. We just need to find the cutoff point for each LU#.

I’m an idiot for not making notes on all of the Wiis that I have done so far, which is why I need everyone’s help. Thanks in advance. BTW: I will track Wiis that don't start with LU, but since I don' t have a basis to start on, I need a few people to chime in with them so I can start the list.

If your Wii was not purchased new from a store or if it has been sent to Nintendo to be repaired, please note this as the "motherboard" inside the Wii could have been changed, which would give us bad data.

Preferred ways of posting: (if you know the actual info, if not, just the information above will be OK)
Post reply with the following: Serial Number/Boot1 version/Boot2 version/When was it purchased
OR
Use the form HERE (Thanks tj_cool!) Spreadsheet

To get this information, you can go inside bootmii. Goto settings -> Info = Tada!!! (Thanks DeadlyFoez!)

This might be the best way for people to submit info

Serial Number/Boot1 version/Boot2 version/When was it purchased

LU5504 / boot1b / boot2v3 / 6-2008

I was thinking about doing that but I was worried that it would deter people from posting if they didn't understand what that meant. I added it anyways

Thanks

I can make a new google document for this if you want

All results will go into a spreadsheet and everyone can contribute through a form.
We could link the form in our guides so we'd get more replies

Of course I can give direct spreadsheet editing powers to the more reliable people

Guess I'll add mine.

LU31235 / boot1b / boot2v2 / mother bought it 2-2007. Was given it for my birthday in May.

When I got it, it had 1.0 on it...was shocked it didn't come with 2.x. At the time, I remember the curiosity of what the "2.2" exactly did when I updated it...

I'll have to post my sister's later. It isn't really hacked (running 3.2 w/o any cIOSes, and has HBC b8 on it only because I installed opera). No clue if it can run bootmii since I haven't bothered to bring it into the new age of wii hacking. Newest game ever played on it was likely MKWii.

EDIT: Added boot1 version. Thanks DeadlyFoez for the tip on bootmii's info option.

LU5075 Wii was compatible with BootMii as boot2. Don't recall much about it as I sent it to Nintendo a while ago.

LU588 / boot1c / boot2v3 / ???
(Came from Nintendo's repair dudes with System Menu 3.3v1.)

@tj_cool: Those links don't work....

The form gives a "We're sorry" from google when submitted.

If I click the Spreadsheet, I get a message saying I don't have permission to view it. Is that a mistake? Otherwise, what use is a DB no one can read?

Everyone can use the form, but only I can edit the spreadsheet

I can change the questions and answers if needed

If someone wants edit power over the spreadsheet, just ask
