USB Iso Loader GUI by dimok,nIxxx, cyrex : -------------------------------------------------------- This loader is based on the original by Waninkoko (v1.1) with many features of his v1.5. So far SD-support is not implemented. I hope we can grant most of your wishes and we will try to keep your suggestions in mind. Anyway we are thankfull for all suggestions, bug reports etc. I know that there will be modifications soon but PLEASE don't post all of them here. If it's some good feature or something that helps to improove this loader talk to one of us first and then post it. Important Note !!!! If you receive CODE DUMPS ... please report the REVISION of the loader you are using AND the CODE DUMP ADRESS (the numbers you get on screen then). You could still use the "widescreen" config, but you could just delete this config option and let the loade to pick for you. -The loader would download the correct widescreen covert art for you into wimages_path if you are in widescreen mode. So you don't have to resize yourself now =) Config.txt for Ultimate USB Loader v7 :

1. A lot of bug fixes 2. added widescreen option: wbackground = image_name.png name of your widescreen background image, in PNG format, located in your images path (see above option) If not specified, a default template will be used. wbackground = wbg.png widescreen = [0] 1 0 => no wide screen 1 => wide screen caution: if turn on the wide screen, the loader would resize the image from your SD card. Toggling between wide screen and non-wide screen would cause loss in image quality. Hopefully this feature would get better in next release widescreen = 0 3. ultimate2 layout has been changed to fit new background, it is also the default layout now. Added new ultimatew layout (for default widescreen, which is the default layout when you enable widescreen) -Background with new button mapping is at the bottom of this post. -Now simple option allow only 0, 1 or 2 (0 is normal, 1 is remove install and uninstall option, 2 is remove uninstall option) -Also, if you set simple = 1, the hdd information would be hidden -savesettings is set to default by 0 now (instead of 1) -functionality of button 1 and 2 is removed. Hungyip84 might add this back as a config option in future release (depends on the feedback) -language, video and ocarina option is removed from the game selection screen (they are in the setting screen now) in titles.txt, you can set access level by something like this: RMCE = Mario Kart = 1 there is one minor bug that I found. If you boot game from setting menu, the auto-save would not work (i will fix it in V7 final) FIXED: in the setting pages there are some bug. Don't play with the saving page yet. I made some change and screwed that up. I will fix it tomorrow. Screen Shot For Ultimate USB Loader v7 Final :

Here's a very Beta version of my hacked 1.1 usb loader with only a couple simple mods: - childproof (no game loads, no game deletes, no drive formatting) - displays game images from the SD card - displays background image from the SD card Notes: - This was just a proof-of-concept and for my son to see the images since he can't read yet. - This will currently (probably) only work off the SD card - Images are placed in the images directory ( currently NOT in the SD root, so it should be /apps/[whatever]/images/ with the boot.dol under /apps/[whatever]/) - Images should be 160x225, but they will display if larger (but not recommended). - Images must be named with the diskId IN CAPS! E.g. RMGE01.png NOT rmge01.png and NOT RMGE01.PNG - blank.png is used to blank out the previous image before loading the next. I suppose I could have just reloaded the background, but whatever. - noimage.png is displayed if you don't currently have an image for the game. - background.png is the background image - There are no other hacks to this (e.g. NTSC/PAL) - I will probably stop using this when the next project is released. - Images go in root as always in folder images and background in there too name bg.png. -I change how the loader mounts to sd in usb-loader.c. Also I made the menu.c unmount the sd when a game is selected to boot. For Ocarina I didn't found the codes when I made the changes. So I made fst.c mount the sd after you chose the game and then unmount if it doesn't find codes or if you select to applied the codes to unmount after the codes ha been loaded. I Prefer embedded and will continue to make them, but I can understand why some of you would prefer forwarders. The ones that I make forwarders of will include a readme.txt telling you what folder the forwarder is pointed at on your sd card. -for those who are not familiar with what forwarders are, think of them as shortcuts to the app on your sd card. Embeded ones include the app and there is no need for an sd card) Note: ~ All USB Loaders have been patched by antiaverage. None, even earlier releases, contain the deletion bug. Thanks antiaverage! ~All apps that absolutely require the use of an SD card (ScummVM, Homebrew Browser, etc.) are forwarders. (Disabled by default, to enable go to Options->Channel Creation and Enable. Follow the instructions provided below.) * Added "Large Cover View"s, which are two side panels that display the cover for the currently selected item. * Added Automatically Check for Updates option (Requires Internet access, can be disabled). * Added the option to cancel batch operations (cancellation occurs as soon as the current item is finished). * Added drive status indicator under the left-hand list, blue shows amount of used space, green shows amount of used space after adding all entries from the "Games To Add" list. * Added Help menu option. * Added direct drive-to-drive copying for drive's with similar sector sizes. Drive-To-Drive copying will now first check if it's possible to do direct copying, if not it will revert to indirect copying. Fixes (3.0) : * Now automatically requests to Run as Administrator. * Fixed the estimated size being wrong for some games. * Fixed an issue with CSV files being exported incorrectly sometimes. * Save expander states, so the user doesn't have to keep re-opening them each time. * Fixed Homebrew Channel creation. (Now using WiiCrazy's USB Loader DOL instead of Yal). * Fixed an issue with the "Estimated Total Size" not updating correctly when games were removed from the right-hand list. * Now checks the filesystem type of a drive before loading to make sure it's not NTFS, FAT or ext. * Fixed an issue with games with ":" or other special characters causing issues during batch extraction. * Fixed issue with game regions showing up incorrectly in initial 2.5 release. * Fixed issue with RAR files in subfolders not being detected during drag and drop operations. * Removed thousandth of a seconds from elapsed time in progress bar. * Fixed mislabled blocks status (was Blocks Used, should be Blocks Free). * Fixed some other minor issues. * Changed installer (now prompts for .NET 3.5 SP1 before installing, also gives options for installing langauges, etc). Channel Creation notes : * To enable channel creation, go to Edit->Options and click on the Channel Creation tab. Then specify the base WAD file that you want to use, the location of the common-key.bin file, as well as the loader that you want to use. Click OK to confirm the changes. * Once channel creation has been enabled, you can choose one or more entries on the Games To Add list then click "Create Channels" (or right click and choose "Create Channels"). o If you choose multiple entries, you will be asked to choose a folder to save the WAD files in and a batch creation process will begin. o If you choose a single entry, you will be prompted for the 4 letter Channel ID you want to use and where you want to save the file. + Be careful with the Channel IDs you choose, if you have an existing channel with the same ID, it will be overwritten when you install the channel. o If you want, you can specify a USB loader DOL file other than the packaged presets. To do this, fill in the "USB Loader DOL File" setting with the DOL file you want to use, then type in the placeholder title ID in the "Title ID Placeholder" field, then click OK to confirm the changes. o A base WAD is not included with this application, you must supply your own. It is best to use a WAD file that belongs to a channel and one that is the same region as your console. o The common-key.bin file is not included with this application, you must supply the common-key.bin file. Requirements : * .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (the installer will prompt you to automatically download and install it if you don't already have it.) Supported Operating Systems : * Windows Vista (tested thoroughly. May need to "Run as Administrator" depending on user's settings and UAC settings). * Windows 7 (tested and working. May need to "Run as Administrator" depending on user's settings and UAC settings). * Windows XP (tested by a few other users, should work fine.) Screen Shot WBFS Manager 3.0.1 :

Troa11 NTSC USB Loader channels collection : ------------------------------------------------------------ Click Here To Download NTSC Wads From Troa11 MediaFire Page Here is a compilation of wads made from every NTSC wad/banner I could get ahold of. More will be added as they become available. These all use Waninkoko's USB loader 1.1 code, modded by joda and run silent...so if you can run Waninkoko's USB loader then you can run this without any additional cIOSs. This also means the "date bug" is fixed in all of them. The last 4 letters in the WAD's filename are the channel ID they install as. They are all uploaded rar'ed to prevent you from being able to install a corrupted wad download. EDIT - Note on 1.4 USB Loader update: Since the changes in USB Loader 1.4 primarily affect the interface and options available there and not the actual loading of a game on a same-region console, there is no reason that any of these channels need to be changed nor is there even a reason to build new channels using 1.4. The only thing that would cause need of a new wad would be for those that cannot load due to IOS conflict and that has not been resolved yet. When it is, new channels will be available. Video mode forcing is beyond the scope of what I'm attempting as stated at the bottom of the post. Please note that while these channels are here, not all the games load properly using this code. Please check the USB Loader compatibility wiki here at gbatemp. I have heard tales of people being able to edit the boot.dol in some of the game discs and get them to work but I've no idea about that kind of magick and wizardry. So does anyone know if it's possible to make USB loader channels with force system + ocarina? I've been searching all day and all I've found is crap which doesn't yet support ocarina. this request should be added to HowardC maybe to be added to his Channel Creator App I was trying to do it myself (unless, of course, it was already done) and ask for it to be done as a last resort. I've already taken a look at the Ultimate loader source and figured it'd be as simple as changing the default settings, and then finding the function that boots a wii game and simply pasting it at the very beginning before the rest of the menu inits. Changing the default settings is easy, but modifying the game-booting function to boot a specific title ID has turned out to be a bit harder than I expected as I've never programmed in C, before. |
