Persona 3: Portable, Persona 4: Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are all heading to PC and Xbox

Announced during the Xbox Showcase was the partnership between Microsoft and Atlus. Three games are coming over to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, all from the Persona series. Persona 3: Portable, Persona 4: Golden, and even Persona 5 Royal will all be heading to the platform. Persona 5 Royal will be launching first, on October 21st, and will also come to Windows PC. The other two entries will also be on PC as well, with a release timeframe in 2023. All three games will be a part of Game Pass. It's not currently known if these games will be available outside of the Windows storefront for PC.

Persona 6 never ever. It crazy how long it took for a sequel after Persona 5 rake in tons money for them
Actually my hope is getting high again after this announcement. But I think Atlus wants to milk soul hackers 2 and smt v first. There's a rumor the latter is going to pc as well.

Yeah I assumed from the beginning SMT V would only be Switch exclusive for a year. Heck at this point I think it's safe to assume all the Persona and SMT games will make their way over to PC eventually. Easy money for Atlus when all they have to do is a few touch-ups.

Can't wait. Been planning to get rid of as many PS3 and PS4 games as possible (CMOS bug), though I have P3 FES on PS3.

People will complain about P3 being the Portable version, but I actually consider it the best version - it's much faster and dynamic, you can control all of your party members and there's an extra protagonist. The pros greatly outweigh the cons - not controlling your party members sounds insane in a game that can be punishing and the FES content wasn't even all that good anyway. P3P was the only game in the series I've finished specifically because it was faster - I don't think anything was significantly lost in the transition.
I just hope we can mod in FES cutscenes and stuff, so it's not just static sprites in a PowerPoint slideshow. Ugh.
I did manage to emulate P3P a while back, but that just took me right out of the experience - the lifeless cutscenes. Understandable for the PSP, but not at all on 2022 PCs.

But what about the Female protagonist? Her side comes with plenty of differences from the original male MC. New social links, new equipment, dialogue changes, etc.
It's a massive overhaul to work with and obviously ATLUS doesn't want to spend so much money to do so.

true i forget about her...

Her side comes with a non-canon fanfic story that ruins the feels of Persona 3

Fes comes with the canon events of Persona 3 and a 30-minute post-game content of the characters dealing with the loss of the leader

Fes is a water-down lazy Side port of the worst version of Persona 3 only ported because it features a character that can't even sell a game that they hype around her for 3ds

Glad to see the games hitting more platforms. The rumoured embargo for other platforms of third party publisher announcements for games revealed at the Xbox event gives reason to seeing Steam and potentially other consoles. I have no doubt Steam will get the games at least considering it already has one.

P3P was so much better than P3(FES) gameplay wise, you couldn't even use Direct Command in The Journey (IIRC it was fixed for The Answer). This led to so much AI BS that it was sometimes downright frustrating to play.

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work

@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
