Corrupt but readable SD card?

Hi everyone! Months ago I bought a modded 2ds XL, after discovering how to install .cia games I started putting some on the sd card. After some time my computer gave me an error message saying that the sd card was corrupt. But the files were readable and once I inserted sd card into the Nintendo everything worked fine. Even today when I insert the sd card in the PC it gives me this message, but everything continues to work. Should I worry? Should I do something?

I am not sure if his will help you but I once had an SD card asking for fixing whenener Inserted to the PC but once I changed the SD reader, it no longer asked for fixing. Try changing the SD reader and see if it helps, also try any other Microsd and see if it has the same issue. Just to know this, are you using a Microsd or SD card?

It might be useful indeed, I should just get myself a new sd reader! However I have a micro sd, it does not happen with all those sd I insert in my PC, but only with that of Nintendo. But my computer's USB ports don't work very well, sometimes I have to try again to get the sd to read

Weird, but this sort of thing when it happens to me is an improperly formatted sd or a faulty SD reader. One thing that you should know, even if you keep getting this message, your files will still be safe as I once had a card with this for over a year. but always backup your files in case of in emergency.

Nothing even happens if you do it to be honest, either it will not show the message again or it still keeps coming back.

It is enough to be honest, the only thing I doubt would be backed up would be the saves which you can easily do with homebrew. The most important files for your games is on the SD and you will not lose unless you format the 3DS rather than the SD.

I didn't think backing up your saves was done any other way. Unfortunately I have not personally modded the Nintendo and I do not know these things, but, now that I know that you have to do this procedure, as soon as I have some time I will inform myself and ask for advice if necessary. What is the error you get when you put the SD card in the computer? Scanning and fixing the errors is usually all you need to do.

If you are worried about data corruption, make sure you use something like Checkpoint or JKSM to to backup decrypted versions of important save files (and put them somewhere safe like the cloud). If you are concerned about accidentally making the problem worse, backup your save files before fixing your SD card's errors.
