1. get the aio switch updater 2. update atmosphere through that app 3. update henkate trough that app 4. update sig patches through that app 5. download the firmware through that app or from archieve 6. shut down the switch and change the hekate.ini use fss0=atmosphere/package3 instead of fss0=atmosphere/fusee-secondary.bin 7. start on sys install firmware through daybreak 8. do it again for the emu and youre done
Seems fairly simple. I'll give this a shot -- thanks!

It probably is but I don't think you'll just be able to swap it over. And it's probably a different kind of ribbon cable for the oled. Unfortunately there not standardized. I'm not even sure the board supports it.

Plus if Nintendo can change the cable they probably will as people will update their own rather than but new... And there'll be more hombrew oled models.

Who knows maybe you'll get lucky. I still think there'll be a kit on eBay. Worst case scenario it could be wired into the back of the USBC connector at it has all the pin outs and power needed.
dream is over saw the new board its different maybe like u said some aftermarket kits

Hey everyone,

Question about EMunand and JKSV. Essentially I really don’t do much homebrew and plan on going back to playing my switch normally after putting some edited game saves for offline games back on my switch.

From my understanding, in order to use JKSV I will have to boot into CFW using an emmunand and back up my saves to my switch.

I want to be able to play these edited game saves normally on my system, which I don’t think should be a problem.

If I want to clear up my SD card in the future and delete the emmunand, would this affect the restored saved files?

So I followed every step of the switch.homebrew.guide page and am wondering now that i have my cfw on my switch, do I always need to go into RCM and push the hekate payload so i can launch the cfw?

Is there a way without hardware to always load into cfw?

If you make a backup of the saves prior to deleting emuMMC and cleaning your SD card, obviously they won't be affected because you already dumped them in advance.

Going into RCM and pushing a payload is the exploit you use to load into CFW. You cannot bypass that need without another exploit because you always need an exploit to launch CFW.

THX, for the reply. And is it correct that everything related to atmosphere is on my SD card?

Nope there is no other way u could activate auto rcm so no need for jig but still u have to send a payload from pc/android/injector

If emuNAND is used completely offline and no cfw is ever used on sysNAND, is there any possibility of a ban? I know there's "always a risk", but short of Nintendo scanning the SD card (which as Ive read, they don't), how could they ever find out?

Hi all, I am currently trying to update my patches in the hopes of updating the firmware after I do that. I use hekate, and I downloaded patches from TotalJustice's github (version 12.1.0-0.19.5). At that site I downloaded fusee.zip and hekate.zip, and I replaced all the patches, but I came across a file in one of the zip files I downloaded called patches.ini - this file was not on my SD card previously, and I don't know what folder to put it in. I'm still a noob when it comes to switch hacking, and I am terrified that I am going to brick my switch, so I am trying to be super careful here. What should I do with the patches.ini file? I think that I have everything ready before I update the firmware, except for this issue.

I started a thread but maybe I should have posted my question in here. About a year ago i found a great detailed switch CFW tutorial and it covered everything from formatting sd card to DNS setting and then adding custom firmware buts its no longer around. What is the best CFW tutorial?

thanks

Hi all, I just posted this as a new thread on the forum, but I realized it probably belongs here more. Mods/admins please delete the forum thread if it was an inappropriate place to put this.

I recently updated atmosphere and hekate to their latest versions earlier today, and now everytime i click on the album button my switch crashes, with the error message that I have attached in these images being given. I am terrified that I am going to brick my switch - I actually thought it was bricked the first time that it happened, because I had autorcm installed but I had to use an rcm jig to restart it with tegrarcmgui.

I guess that i must have screwed something up in the copying and pasting of the new atmosphere... emor maybe I need to delete some old files? I just don't know where to start. Please help, any attempt will be appreciated. Thanks.

edit - And I forgot to add: now when I boot i to hekate, it can't find any emuMMC anymore, and when i use TegraRcmGui to start it, it gives a message telling me to update nyx.

So... I got frustrated, and I just decided to format my SD card and reinstall everything. I just did a fresh install, and atmosphere seems to be working again, along with the hbmenu. All my games are gone though... it makes me a little sad, since I sent a bit of time downloading those. I'm still not sure if the stock firmware will load though. Thank you to everybody who replied, I guess that I just screwed it up so bad I had to restart from scratch.

Is ofw 6.0.1 too low for Atmosphere 1.1.1?
I made a fresh install, but got black screen on emuMMC and it works on sysNAND.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok I did a search but I cannot find an answer.
I have a 256 GB SD card running atmos with hidden emuMMC partition. I "accidentally" made it 7 GB (Because then I had more space for my games)
But Now I run into the issue that all savegames are on the sysnand/emuMMC and it is running full.
Is there a possibility to increase the partition of the hidden emuMMC without re-formatting my SD Card?
I tried Nandmanager with a rawdump of my emuMMC, but it gives me errors when I want to resize it.
Exactly at the point when it reaches the original size of the USER folder (4.39GB)

Or is it possible to create a rawdump of the emuMMC, then resize the partition in hekate, and after that restore the emuMMC rawdump? or does it get the same size then as the original rawdump?

tl; dr:
- old, vulnerable, non-patched, fully stock Switch
- stopped working around July
- pressing Power -> Nintendo Logo -> black screen, Backlight off
- probably on 12.0.3, last thing I did was play online on June 13 with up to date firmware

- followed https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
- Hekate and other payloads work perfectly fine
- launching HOS doesn't work
- RCM -> Hekate -> Launch -> Atmosphere FSS0 EmuMMC -> Atmosphere Logo -> Black screen ->
Code:
Panic occured while running Atmosphere.

Title ID: 010000000000002B
Error:    std::abort (0xFE)
[report attached]

Hi all, so the last time I played on my Switch was June 13. After that I didn't use it until about end of July or August, or so. That's when I noticed, it won't start anymore.
My warranty is long gone, so I thought maybe installing cfw would give me a better insight to what's going on there. And it did. I got an error report. Unfortunately, the only solutions I found recommended reinstalling Atmosphere, I thought that there was no point in doing that, since I just installed a fresh new version, but tried that anyway. Needless to say: It didn't work.
Does someone know what to do in a case like this?
