The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is turning ten years old, and what better way to celebrate such an occasion than with a port. Bethesda will be releasing an edition of Skyrim for last generation systems, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and of course PC, titled The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition, which is an enhanced version of the already release Special Edition remaster of the game. It'll contain a multitude of new additions from the Bethesda Creation Club, such as fishing, new quests, new weapons, and other enhancements to the Skyrim experience. Those that already own the Special Edition will be able to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition on for an unknown price point, while the upgrade to PS5 and Series X|S later down the line will be free. Skyrim Anniversary Edition launches on the 10th anniversary of the game--November 11, 2021.

A good assumption to make, this undoubtedly requires/includes SKSE which uses a lot more RAM than Switch has available.

Meh, Starfield and TES6 are going to be massively disappointing anyway since Bethesda refuses to move on from their ancient game engine. Not only will they look like ass when compared to any other next-gen game, the physics will be jank as hell. Modders will have to work overtime to make either remotely playable within a year of release.

According to Bethesda in the source, the way they have worded it seems that the PS5/X will only receive enhanced versions, as in something probably like a next gen update to upgrade the resolution and framerate even more. If I am correct in assuming as such, I wonder how it would differ.

Only after saying so they then only start talking about the anniversary edition, "we're also excited to announce". Pretty sneaky way of saying it, but yeah I saw your later post clarifying the upgrade from anniversary is only free, but I guess what they said initially is also referring to some sort of free next gen update.
