I used the cbhc menu before to go directly to hbl but now I don t even see the Autobooting....
in white.
and when I originally hacked it the haxchi folder wasn t in the root of my sd card so i m not even sure it was hacked but I had hbl and correctly hacked the vwii and all I messed with on the haxchi folder was add this
b=wiiu/apps/loadiine/loadiine.elf

You're bricked then... (Only once, not twice, the QuickStart menu didn't do anything in this case, you replaced the CBHC app with Haxchi when you replaced the haxchi config.)

You're only hope to save your console is to either hardmod it yourself or send it to someone that can hardmod it...

Do not reinstall Haxchi over CBHC as it replaces the CBHC app with one that isn't built with Coldboot Compatibility...

Wtf Cbhc is not the problem, it is 1000% SAFE.
People who can't follow tutorials just shouldn't get near it. And I don't feel sorry for those who blame Cbhc when they fk it up.

Just do it step by step and it will work.

Old discussion and you missing the point: I am not saying chbc isn't safe to install and indeed a step by step (2 steps?) isn't that hard to follow.
It is the aftermath: people resetting their wiiu, change accounts, selling it to people who don't know anything about chbc and so on.
Indeed most bricks (all?) are human errors.....but errors nonetheless with another wiiu bitting the dust

Cbhc seems to be a problem for most users, although it is not. Today I only read from a user that he downloaded the DS VC game via USB Helper, and the .tik file has somehow exchanged via Faketik. Now he can not update from 5.5.2 to 5.5.3. Oh man...

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and also because blackouts here are very common and that could damage the console
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol

On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
