similar question to this but for nsp's, was thinking to format to exFat or to NTFS but is there another way to install a 13 gb file without needing to transfer to sd or am I going to need to format or split files if that works for nsp's?So I formatted my SD card to FAT32, but now I can't put large files onto the SD. I checked online about spitting files etc but just want to verify here that this is what I'm supposed to do with the XCI files. Is there anything else I should note or do? Thanks!
AFAIK, not through the Tegra Recovery Mode at this time.I have the limited edition smash switch, do you guys think it is hackable?
For .XCI files, the only way to put them on a FAT32 SD card is by splitting them. There is no way to install/load them via USB like .NSP files although SX OS does offer HDD support for .XCI files. So I formatted my SD card to FAT32, but now I can't put large files onto the SD. You can use USB install with Tinfoil.similar question to this but for nsp's, was thinking to format to exFat or to NTFS but is there another way to install a 13 gb file without needing to transfer to sd or am I going to need to format or split files if that works for nsp's?
Atmosphere, ReiNX, and SX OS are all CFW and Hekate is a bootloader so its the odd man out. In terms of differences, SX OS is the only one with EmuNAND support (currently), its own cheat engine, and .XCI loading. Atmosphere and ReiNX are very similar to each other right now but Atmosphere does offer a few advantages over ReiNX such as protection of AutoRCM during system updates, creport to prevent error codes from being saved to the NAND (which doesn't come with ReiNX but can be used), and slightly faster boot times. ReiNX however is on the verge of adding a lot of SX OS' features to it so eventually ReiNX will become the free version of SX OS which will make it arguably the best CFW.Several questions:
What is the difference between Hekate, Atmosphere, ReiNX, and SX OS? (I have the NS-Atmosphere dongle)
What are the pros and cons of each?
Which ones would you choose, and for what reason?
Is there any reason to update, or to not update to 6.2 or any other official firmware version? (I have one that is 4.1.0, and another that is 6.2.0)
Any hacked Switch can play online but of course, you risk a ban in doing so. And people have been banned for pretty much everything.Noob here, Is it worth my time to find a 6+ month old switch that i can hack , Can hacked old switchs play online OR will they be able to in the future "if they are old the hacking will advanced to 3DS level and safe from nintendos patching" If no online even in future ... I'll just wait for a new switch, like how 3ds had a gen 2 and just buy games
like mainly want switch for online play but im hobo so thats all i can afford
Hello,
Bought a switch, made a jig to check if i could softmod it and the result was 0x0000, so no softmodding for me at this point.
I have some questions:
1) Does this meen that there is no way to mod my switch, or is it still possible with a modchip?
2) If i buy a second switch wich will be mod_able, is it possible to play games, wich are hosted on my hackable, through direct link or lan, or need both switches been hacked for this? (i try to be sure if i have benefits in having 2 switches, will use one for online things and another for offline things)
Thanks for listening, and double thanks to the one that can answer my questions
Unless you're modded your Joy-Con to bridge pins 9 & 10 together, there are no issues.I just updated my switch from 3.0.1 to 6.2.0 with ChoiDujourNX and now i get "a controller update is available" should i just update it?
The short answer is yes.Hi, I wanted to convert some xci but im using my keys on it. Can other people install and use it too on their NSW
You don't have to update the firmware. If you try loading something like the eShop and you're not banned, you'll get an error telling you to update your system. If you are banned, it will give you the ban error code regardless of your firmware. Is there any way to check if the console is banned without updating firmware?
Yes you can just restore your NAND backup. Make sure you are restoring boot0/boot1 and eMMC raw GPP as boot0/boot1 are also firmware-specific.So i've updated 5.1 -> 6.1 with ChoiDujourNX without carrying about fuses. I have backup from 5.1 and sx os. Can I restore this backup without any issues? I have an error "checking whether this software can be played" and can't play any .nsp games.
