Due to that I'm trying to get the 60fps cheat working but even toggling it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I just updated my PPSSPP as well.

EDIT: Needed to reset PPSSPP. This fps cheat with the HD texture pack is pretty great.

I got Ao worked out fine so far, but got some trouble with Zero as it had no sound. Is it because my copy is Chinese?

Can anyone confirm if the evo voice mod works with the new psp translation?

I'm leaning towards playing the PSP version + HD Texture mods + 60 fps cheat over the PC version at the moment.

Zero and Ao psp full HD textures projects are no more a thing? I think I understand why, if that's the case. Just want to confirm

So I managed to alter the Zero no Kiseki texthooker (just google it and look at the git) to the point where it is able to texthook off the version of Ao no Kiseki for PC with the japanese PSP script inserted. I'll share it if there's any interest.

Unfortunately, the evo voice mod won't work with it and I'm unsure of how much work it would be to get it to work when I'm pretty sure there's not a ton of interest in that aside from myself (and I have no idea where to even get started with building the voice scripts files, as the current ones seem preset up to only work with the CN versions of Ao in regards to PC files)

Oh, I've done this step. It's the next step that I have no idea where to start with - compiling a voice script from the files. No matter whether I try jp.ao or cn.ao, it fails and generates an error message telling me there's no text in any file like : c0000, 3472,168,00006: No text in this line」
c0000, 3472,168,00006: No text in this line」。
c0100, 2258,38,00012: No text in this line」。
c0100, 2585,52,00009: No text in this line」。
c0100, 2617,54,00009: No text in this line」。
.(and so on for every file)

This is probably because the whole PSP into PC script works off some weird logic, but I'm not sure if I'm up to it if I'll need to rewrite a lot of a python program (I don't currently know python, only java and lua).

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
