I'm just happy that I don't have to run out and buy a switch today (have a running bet). Everything is going so fast though which is good.
I agree... I remember on the Xbox original the LCD screen addon for the chip...Not necessarily. A physical mod chip can do anything a cooldboot cfw can, and theoretically could maybe do more if they put the necessary hardware in but I might be wrong on that.
Actually, you should, fast. Because now this info is out, Nintendo will have to do a hardware revision. and given that it's already within 5.0 update data, that revision is very soon.I'm just happy that I don't have to run out and buy a switch today (have a running bet). What we may see is someone produce a bootkit, so instead of having to open the console or use a pc we just plug a small dongle into the usb-c port which handles the payload.
We have still yet to see what the software solution will be. Does the method you think of require a USB A to C? They're cheap anyways and sounds easy ^^
nope, because there is a bootrom bug. that's what fuse gelee is. So therefore no need for a modchip.you would need to modify the bootrom for that to work in my understanding.. what is going to tell the usb stick to launch the set of instructions? hence again, the need for modchip

Do people not realize that eventually FG will be a coldboot exploit?
Not for xbox 360 that never moved on from a hardware exploit except once. Which is why I highly oppose against hardmods. Plus there is a software bug that is already usable. So really no need for tx, unless you want to dish a lot of cash.Quit your whinging. Every new console hack starts with a non-user-friendly hardware modification like this. By the time you can actually do anything meaningful with this exploit, there will likely be a software-only/console-only approach. If not, then shortly after.
