I dont understand. A great and complete Ao no Kiseki translation is almost done by translator Guren. The Zero no Kiseki translation is done and the correction is in progress. So why dont you focus on Trails in the Sky the 3rd? I mean to somehow port the PC's english script into PSP version.

Might as well port it to 3rd Evolution

Also the PC version is the uncut version so there is extra dialogue. Due to this, it's not a simple swapping the Japanese text for the English text like the FC Evolution translation. At least, that's my understanding.

I see. But dont forget that basicly we are console players, its a console forum topic, so most of us dont play on PC. Me neither. I sucesfully got the english script from PC version, but I couldnt manage the PSP files

same here, don't play in PC at all

at this time, Im' not waiting the psp version, but I hope the 3rd evolution will be the one we'll grab for console players

Honestly, I'd say even 3rd PSP would still be better, partly because of the portraits and partly because 3rd Evo's balance was screwed up. Certain new features from Zero/Ao were ported back into it, and instead of properly rebalancing the game around these features, bosses were made into damage sponges by drastically increasing their HP.

I'm also not sure that it would even be possible to add the full version of the cut scene back into either of the portable versions.

I'm curious if multiple lines work on the PSP version of the 3rd.

Also, I'm curious if the opcode tables are in the same place. Maybe I could add Sora/SC/3rd PSP support and SC/3rd PC support to EDDecompiler? It would be nice to have the text/asset changes backported to the PSP versions.

Since guren's script translation is almost done, I will not be releasing the fixed lines machine translated script.

It would be nice to put some of our attention on porting the TitS 3rd, the English script is already available and we have 2 viable ports the PSP and the Vita!
And I agree that the Zero and Ao are already being covered by the guys at Geofront/Esterior(.)net so it would be much more fruitful to push some of our efforts and passion on porting over the TitS 3rd instead!

Script decompilation for Sora/SC/3rd PSP and .IT(P/C/3)<->.PNG is needed, however.
Once those are done, Sora 3rd English is possible.

I have a solution for ITP<->PNG.
1) Edit your image. You need to preserve transparency in your image editing program. I recommend editing in RGB mode.
2) Using pngquant or some quantizer program (I think there are many) to convert to PNG256. Basically just a PNG with color depth 8 and indexed color. And you have to make sure your quantizer preserves transparency.
3) Use my program to convert to ITP.

ITC and IT3 not supported, but maybe you could do them, I don't know.
