It's a little unnerving....

It's quaint to see a webpage or a podcast from 2006 or 2009 saying that we are in the end times. I'm sure people have looked into the bible 10-15 years ago and said we are in the end times, and we are closer to those times then ever. It will become more closer as time goes on of course. Matthew 24 is a good example of this. There also comes this great evil from Revelation, this great being that will over throw us all. Speculation has surrounded this since the dawn of time. This being has most recently (as 20th-21st century recent) a being of not man, but of machine. I can't find it, but there is a great presentation on this. Very interesting.

But yes, all very unnerving.

My anxiety surrounding the situation of the planet lies in the fact that 90 something percent of all species to ever have existed on it, have gone extinct. It's experienced numerous cataclysmic events that greatly contributed to that, and it seems that at this moment, it's reminding us of that fact.

A number of things.

One, Little Boy was very much a prototype bomb only delivering 15 kilotons of force. The Tsar thermonuclear bomb was tested was the equivalent of ~3333 Hiroshima level nuclear weapons. Full maxed out in design at 100 Megatons and it'd have the energy equivalent of a magnitude 9 earthquake (or ~6666 Hiroshima level nuclear weapons). As noted, though, the average hurricane is equivalent in energy to ~10,000 nuclear weapons (seems the site I'm using is using a much lower 4 kiloton standard for nuclear weapons). Either way, the biggest thing is something like a super volcano eruption which far outstrips the whole world's nuclear arsenal.

Two, weather modification has been shown to be somewhat effective with cloud seeding, but it's not a very exact science (it would seem to encourage premature rain but not enough of how much or when/where). Such doesn't require mass amounts of energy, just mass amounts of silver iodine and a willingness to accept very unpredictable results.

Three, it'd be probably very doable to cause earthquakes but it'd be very noticeable: large drilling equipment near a fault, a measurable explosion from a nuke prior to the earthquake, and then measurable radiation. All-in-all, a very obvious thing.

Earthquakes cannot be manipulated due to the simple and ez fact that this process happens underground and is beyond our reach.

Earthquakes occur due to movement of the tectonic plates along fault lines.
There is literally no way we can influence that.

Edit: Ninja'd
Actually, Infrasound can release the plate tension, causing earthquakes. Look up DARPA.

A bunch of religious morons think the world will end Saturday. As if... But the best part? Asking them on Sunday why the world didn't end, and watching them stumble over excuses.
TBF every Christian I've talked to recently think that guy is a nut. So don't let him be a representation of them. Anways you're post reminded me of the zorp episode in parks and rec when the leader of the zorp cult says he "misread" the text and that he needs to schedule the parks for zorp's coming on x date. Leslie says the park is booked on x date, so the cult leader quickly says "oh wait, I..I misread the text! It must be on y date!" The episode then ends with Leslie turning her head to and smiling at the camera.

The only thing I can find is a conspiracy theory that their HAARP facility can cause earthquakes.

Are there any articles or papers you can link me to?

Edit: I might also add that HAARP doesn't use infrasound, it uses high-frequency radio waves.

Lol, the guy already started backtracking on his statement before the day the end of the world is supposed to end on:

"To make clear, Meade said he’s not saying the world will end Saturday. Instead, he claims, the prophesies in the Book of Revelation will manifest that day, leading to a series of catastrophic events that will happen over the course of weeks.

“The world is not ending, but the world as we know it is ending,” he said, adding later: “A major part of the world will not be the same the beginning of October.”

So either Halloween is coming early or he knows something not even President Trump knows about North Korea's nuclear arsenal.

Maybe the dude is secretly from the future and knows there's going to be a nuclear holocaust but acted like a nutjob and got his own religion to shun him just to screw with everyone before it happened... :P
