I think it's just fun to find something hidden. Especially a whole game built into the OS. People love easter eggs. It often reminds people of old playground rumours and mysterious cheat codes.

We know from yellows8 that we need some kind of rotation and a movement from both joycons.
We may need to do a barrel roll with them

Just saying like I mentioned before, I still think it's oddball that with everyone out there owning a smartphone, being that it's 2017, and the ease of recording video and putting it on youtube instantly that it's fishy the OP didn't do that. Seriously think about this. You have a brand new Nintendo Switch and all of a sudden Golf appears on the screen and it's playable and for some odd reason the person didn't even think to take pictures or record video.

All of this is probably complete BS made by a bunch of people to get everyone to stop talking about all the homebrew development going on in the background or something. Maybe just a huge prank.

Say it exists and it's legit, if it incorporated motion controls via the joy cons then how come on this page (http://switchbrew.org/index.php?title=Flog) the title screen to Golf doesn't say 1984, 2017 Nintendo CO.,LTD. I would think it was a revision and thus dated appropriately

Most of us have already dismissed the OP, but not the existence of Golf on the Switch. OP just had incredible luck with his shitpost idea.

As for the whole concept being fake, anyone who has been properly following the story these past few days should be able to tell you this is real.

more than half the time I do something cool I dont have any on me tge one I have on me is dead or im too interested to take out a camera

Because I was tired and I had assumed I activated an easter egg, yes I'm borderline retarded for not recording I know that. Also I never asked anyone to believe me, I just wanted people to look into this. Obviously that's happening now.

I just think it's silly to conclude either way at this point. Why make conclusions without evidence? If it was a troll post, it's (a little) interesting that it is the same title (and not NES Open), considering that we didn't know the game was on there at the time, only an emulator called 'flog'. Yes, OP could have figured out it was golf backwards and decided to troll, but he has been back on this thread talking about it since it blew up. He seems a little reasonable and committed to it if it's a dumb joke, and he must know that his story will be found out the moment we find out the real way to activate it (or if it's impossible). I just don't see the motivation.

There's absolutely no harm in neither deciding OP is Nintendo Jesus or an awful troll. I'd just prefer not to be one of those people that says stuff like "There's no way Golf is on there as it's not on the NAND - you're definitely lying lol". Oh look, now we know it is on the system.

The most logical response at this point is to keep the post in mind, but to wait for something concrete from the people who know what they're doing. You don't need to place bets or convince anyone of anything.

I haven't got my switch to hand at the minute but have just received an email regarding a tweet by yellows8.

The email was about an article engadget that featured yellows8 tweet on the flog emulator.

With this in mind has anyone tried to set the date on the console to 2018 and tested it out? Apologies if I'm asking a dumb question. Not tried any of the suggested steps yet myself and won't be able to just yet.
