I'm on 3.0.0. Not mainly for piracy, but I won't lie and say I hope for it at some point. I can already afford my games anyway, but I'm wanting a way to backup saves and dump my games.
Also would love other homebrew that takes advantage of the USB plug. Maybe at some point a way to plug it into a PC and act as a capture device so I don't need the dock nor a capture card to record and stream switch games.

I pay for GOOD games, and REASONABLE prices. But i also would like emulators. Could care less about piracy, especially if people can't make games worth my time. There plenty of good games from the past I haven't played yet, and emulation on the go is gonna be amazing... (as soon as nvidia release a shield portable 2 with tegra x1) WHEN!!!!?????

I'm under 3.0 somewhere on my still-box'd switch. 3.01 on my everyday use one. I really don't care about piracy as far as Switch games are concerned... at least not at the moment. I'm more excited for emulation (gcn, psII, etc.)

I'm more excited for other homebrew that can make use of things like USB. I'm hoping at some point we will see a way to plug the switch into a computer and capture the screen for recording and streaming. That way people won't need to use the dock and a capture card to record and stream switch games. I prefer to play in handheld mode and streaming at my desk is easier than streaming on my couch to see the TV.

Oh that's a very nice thought! I'd love something like that! Especially with the new pokemaaaan rpg on its way! I prefer handheld too! I'll dock it like maybe once every month or two, just because it's such a different, it's neat!

At this point I only use the dock when playing with other people at home. I exclusively use handheld mode otherwise. I even have a gooseneck holder that hangs above my couch, and I just lay down and play switch while watching netflix on the TV. It's by far the most comfortable way to play switch. And with the detached separated joycon I can put my arms in any comfortable position while playing.

If a hax arrives I would use it for homebrew, off-line cheating and modding.
But I am not waiting nor willing to wait for a hack.
I have my Switch always updated to the last FW version.

Yeah that is true. It needs fixing. The 3rd option should be removed and the 2nd one should be called "3.01+". If said changes are made then it could give people a better insight into how many will pirate and how many will home-brew out of the community. I actually am quite interested in finding that info out.

Also optional votes should be renamed too: "i am ONLY waiting for piracy" and "I am ONLY waiting for homebrew"

I mostly play on the go (planes, trains ...), offline, prefer buying my game on physical media, and therefore only update for games I play (had to go 2.1.0 for Mario+Rabbids ... )
Would love seeing that thing get some homebrew love so it can include all those things big N didn't feel were necessary while travelling (media player, virtual console ...) so I can pack less devices ...

We'll see about piracy when it's done ... not really what's keeping me on low firmwares tho
