Actually Nintendo has had some great AAA titles, for instance, Call of Duty: Black Ops for the DS is easily the best version of the game and also one of the most best-selling Nintendo games of all time.
CoD on DS one of the best versions? Are you serious?

cant say i played that mutch due to the controls plus looking like a total bag o [email protected]

i would happily turn my view round completely if i could start walking into game stores (not game itself i hate them) and when i currently have plenty of new titles for my xbx1/ps4 and theres a new release, be able to go you know what ill buy this for the switch because ive not had much new recently to play.

nintendo titles do tend to bore me, mario i will probably end up buying for the sake of having to, but it likely wont get compleated, probably played for a week or two..... majority of nintendo titles have no appeal to me, i used to love zelda, but never been able to complete and enjoyed it since majoras, BoTW i completed it and was left feeling disappointing over its hype.

i am actually looking forward to see how metroid turns out.

but as i put above having option of games to play, when since launch its had nothing really and those that it has are ported from older systems, why when i already own the game would i buy it again when it has very little difference..... its joycon is or that its portable wont change that.

i am glad i never had to buy my switch.

Why people even focus so much on triple A games ? I mean its not like with almost every triple A release there are more as enough issues nowadays (and then people bitch about it same ^^).
Imo many Indie games are just more fun to play and sometimes even better as what Big company XY releases every year.
Can't we just have fun with whatever we have no matter if YOU don't like it ;)
We already get so many games daily nowadays that its almost impossible to play them all (well if you are working ^^)

again, agreed, yes these are also gimmick controllers that only lead to shovelware games, but difference is that sony or ms are not forcing it as a default controller, they are offering it as optional for those that want these sort of games.
The Sixaxis was forced on Lair, game made by Factor5, creators of the legendary franchise Rogue Squadron.
The controls ruined the game, causing the game to flop, and by the time they realize their BS it was too late. Their partnership with Sony killed them.

The PS Move compatibility was forced on Heavy Rain, where instead of getting a new story with the inspector that all the fans wanted, they forced Quantum Dreams to develop a move version.

Those are just 2 examples I have in mind, but Sony definitely tried to pull the gimmick BS. They're doing it with PS VR right now, reserving a long part of their E3 about it.
If you look at Microsoft, you just gotta remember their stupid Camera that they tried to force to sell with the console. Same thing.

It's not that your gimmick argument is wrong itself, more like you have a biais against Nintendo and are unable to see that they're all doing it.
Also Im very, very happy with Mario Odyssee, like most people. If you're not well too bad, it's life. Im sure there's a lot of triple A currently that feel completely new and arent shallow copies or each other.

no my point is somewhat what your saying.

when you have gimmick controllers the games tend to suck, when your console forces its default controller as a gimmick then you know for a fact majority of its games are going to be based upon it.

take the wii as a perfect example how it had far too many games that was exactly the same thing.

now if your into gimmicks then fair enough, but gimmick controllers should be optional or at least also provide a default controller.

i just think the switch is going to be like the wii again littered with shovelware based off the joycon controller.

and what else will it get...... not much of an option to play other games the other systems get, so for someone who isnt into mario or the same other nintendo titles or shovelware party games, what else do you have.... this is why nintendo keep promising to improve its support, but they dont help by not having the hardware to easily allow them to do so.

you wouldnt pay millions to make your next aaa title and then pay more to have a different team make a version for nintendo, when nintendo focuses its market mainly to its fans who love anything they do and mainly kids, theres no business return for them to do so.

so when nintendo catch up and release a system with better hardware, they port its old titles to it....... and we see nintendo doing this already.

not impressive at all.

yea ok its things ive made up.... tell me that nintendo consoles get the option to play the great third party titles the other systems get.

ohh wait hmmmm, they dont.

then name something AAA quality..... ohh wait it lacks.

it again proves that fans of nintendo refuse to accept when gamers have a negative view, and if you had bothered to see other posts, my views on nintendo declined more and more over the years since the n64 for lacking the option of games.

you cant sit and claim its wrong when its fact, if it wasnt then nintendo wouldnt be here promising everytime to do more to get better third party support.

care to google this fact, they said it yet again for the switch.

but noooooo i am wrong, nintendo admit to it, but i am wrong.

that there is exactly the problem with the fans.
despite the piss poor sales of wiiu. a COD game made it to wiiu,

Again, your looking over and forgetting something. The motion controls are not the focus. Its mobility. And we are in 2017, the year where everyone checks the internet, so if any shoveware games that come out people will not buy it because they will know thanks to reviews and social media

yup, as back then third parties wanted to test what it would be like for them, knowing hardware was basically like the ps3/360 they knew it wouldnt run anything theyre releasing on the new systems..... and shortly after that the support ended.

cant be impossible to see the same happen again, looking that the switch hardware will not run anything the current systems are getting, now we consider what happens when MS/SONY stop re releasing upgraded versions of the XBX1/PS4 and release a whole new system..... even less chance of supporting it.

so if the switch hype hasnt died down by then, we know too well nintendo will be first to release another system when the switch wont have the third party support.

end of the day consoles need games, the wii u proved this fact perfectly well.

And again, The tools on the pervious consoles sucked ass, that was the reason devs didn't want to develop on Nintendo's system. A good example, is sonic boom. Before ANYONE decides to say sonic boom sucked from the very begining. If you look into the development, sonic boom was never intended on wiiu. And what killed the game? the fact Nintendo didn't support the engine, and the dev tools sucked. Which killed the game and made it bug ridden. (and because of Nintendo's dev tools they had to scrap a ton. The combat in the beta before it was ported was actually better, the graphics where better before porting to wiiu. And they could keep the graphics due to Nintendo not supporting that game engine) And the switch graphically wise in someplace is better than the ps4! lego city undercover, the switch version has a slighter better render distance, and has the exact same graphics compared to a ps4. And again, back to your complaint about it being a home console. You don't HAVE to use THE GEMMICK. Chances are Nintendo is going to make a dock-less variant. The switch doesn't require you to use it as either one. So if you have such a problem with it being a console, then just keep it in handheld mode. Seriously, it makes no sense, why it being able to play your games on a tv is such a problem.

Also if you take a look none of the games for switch require a gemmick for a true completion. Yes if your 100% botw then yah its needed (motion control puzzle), however you don't need to beat all shrines to get the true ending of the game, so regardless its still optional. I honestly feel that this time Nintendo left most of the gemmicks out. If you don't like switching the console don't do it. Keep in handheld, or console mode. No game needs it. Arms doesn't require motion controls, as their is a option for traditional controls. breath of the wild give the option to disable motion controls as well. Mario kart again, no motion controls necessary. I'm trying to bring up that, you don't need to switch from handheld to console or viceversa to play. So, in this case, as I see it. its more of a option, and not a gemmick. Its optional if you wish to switch it. Its optional if you wish to play with motion controls. its optional. However this is my opinion, and I know that there a bound to people who disagree.

I don't think it's really worth getting if you had the wiiu version. If you didn't and want to justify having bought a switch (lol), then go for it.
Just porting over not-that-old games because you released a console before you had any games, is a bad practice regardless of who does it.

Black ops 2 made onto the wii u in its early year (2012), because activision thought it could sell like the others one that were on wii... Then the next year tried again with ghosts since the wii u still was selling (not that good, but not that bad either) but after seeing how nintendo users didnt bought them, they abandoned the console in favor of releasing to the ps3/360.

The release of cod on wii u was because the series sold quite well/decent on wii. But dont expect the same to happen on switch since the wii u gave activision a pretty bad taste.
