Hardware Pokkén controller works really well with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Went to update the Switch and since the firmware update itself was already downloaded and pre-installed, all I had to do was just press A & restart. Afterwards, the Pokkén controller became automatically usable on the Switch.

It's true that one can enjoy using the Pokkén controller to play Mario Kart you have to remember that the L and R shoulder buttons aren't on the top but rather at the bottom nearby Start & Select so this is something that screws up with one's mind.

Now I have three Switch controllers. Joy-Cons (suppose you could count it as 2 controllers) + Pro Controller + Pokkén Controller.

i also notice that my switch kind of auto downloads the update, when it says 'update available' i press a to update and it finishes in a sec.

i guess it downloads it in the bg.

Nintendo confirmed that Mario Odyssey can be played using buttons only so BOOM, we can probably play the entire game with the GameCube controller.

It's a shame that only one port works but it's something at least. Playing Mario Kart 8 with a GameCube will be something quite interesting.

I've already got (technically) four controllers since I have cons, pro, and recently bought that nes30pro 8bitdohickey. It has so far worked poorly on PC, BT or wired and even on newest FW, but works very well with Switch.

Edit: Then again, that WiiU/PC 2-port Mayflash adapter is hella cheap, and I have exactly two Gamecube controllers. Might as well pull the trigger, especially since it works with both of my primary gaming platforms.
