well, noone can ask an ETA, since it is free, we paid nothing for it and devs are doing this in their free time. I do some small-dev stuff and i know it is hard to do testing and bug fixes. All i can say is, i am waiting anxiously for it to try some dsi-mode homebrews, yay.

What I'm gonna use the new DSi exploit for when it gets released:

1. Downgrade whitelist to be able to use my ace3ds plus.
2. Use SRLoader to run some stuff from the internal SD.
3. Install some DSiWare to play on the DSi, although it's harder to do than on 3DS the 3DS upscaling is just bad enough for me to want to do it.

A bit off-topic but does anyone know of a save dumper that's compatible with DSi homebrew exploits?
edit: just remembered about the dsiware not being able to access slot 1. probably won't exist for years.

Unless someone creates a CFW sort of thing for DSi to allow Slot-1 to be accessed in DSi mode then it won't exist at all.

I was thinking if you have a hacked 3ds couldn't you inject fwtool and send it over ds download play and spoof it as another game so the dsi thinks its legit

Rewatch the video on the first page, they press Power whenever they go to switch games - and the power button on the DSi is basically the same as pressing Home and going back to the main menu on the 3DS. Even if it might work on the 3DS, I'm fairly sure you'd run into the same issue.

Just stick with TWLoader.
SRLoader really is intended for DSi users.
The DSi version of bootstrap used by SRLoader has volume issues on 3DS.

It uses DS Download Play, and it's on every DSi system!
It's no dsihax though, but with HaxxStation, you can run homebrew (and eventually retail, via a wireless bootstrap) ROMs without a flashcard (aside from the one used by the DS as server), or an SD card!
