so ok,, I just literally put cfw on my 3ds (yes im the guy that was asking if you could do it w/ an android phone,, answer,,-yes you can),

well I had read and read over and over again older versions of the 3ds... online manual about how to hack the 3ds and what to do, and,, it has changed. so my questions are:

in the older guide, there isn't a godmode9, but I did install it, as it is in the newer one, the older one had decrypt9, which I have the files to install, which is better? what is the difference?

AND I have the files to hourglass9, but I didn't install it, as it wasn't in the newer manual, I know that, that program allows me to basically rip physical copies of 3ds games onto my system, but it wasn't in the tutorial, so I did not install it, and don't know how,, also I want to know is it broken, as in did Nintendo patch it in the newest release?

also, at the end of the tutorial, there is a point where you have to turn on your 3ds w/out the sd card in, I know that there are really 2 nand files, and both can be patched, but in the tutorial it only shows you how to do just the one. so my 3ds would not turn on w/out the sd card in it. so am I missing out??

the guide has recently been updated to replace Hourglass9 and Decrypt9 with SafeCTRTransfer and Godmode9 as its most recent update adds most features from those other two, making them not necessary anymore.
As @Aletron9000 said, just follow the guide word by word and you should have no problem.

so what you are saying is... I IN A SENSE DO HAVE HOURGLASS9!!,, well how would I use it to rip games,, I guess it doesn't matter though. one thing the guide doesn't tell you lol,, how to truly use the things you install

also,, btw,, I deleted the 2.1.0 o3ds emulated nand,, in an earlier guide it said I could do that so I did lol 700 mb bleh you know

Update godmode9 to latest and if you have a gamecart inserted take a look inside the Gamecart drive. Press A on the .trim.3ds go to NCSD image options then go to build CIA from file

Once its done take a look in the gm9out folder on the root of the SDCard and there will be a cia file with a long name

Then you can install it with FBI

You didn't install it it's just files on the sd card. If you downloaded GodMode9 yesterday you wont have to update it. If you want decrypt9 get it from github and place the decrypt9wip.bin in your luma/payloads folder on your sdcard and rename it to x_decrypt9wip.bin. Then you can launch it by holding X on boot.
You can do the same with HourGlass9, just make sure you rename it to anybutton_hourglass9.bin

But make sure that whenever you restore your SysNAND, you click the keep a9lh button.

Hell not sure what was going on but for like a few weeks MP3's sounded muffled, some driver or Windows update fixed it. Thank god lol

I'd sooner buy the Meze 109 Pro if I was dropping that much on headphones. I don't even like buds/IEMs

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
