Thanks! That worked!

Thanks for all your patience! Do I need to run this every time I boot? Just as CFW?

When the US releases, can I delete this from the system menu on the Wii U? Along with the update?

Thanks again!
Glad it worked! Yes you just run the sigpatch everytime. When the US one comes out if you want to switch to the US one you would uninstall game and update, but be prepared to either lose your save or if you're lucky it might transfer to the US one but no guarantee. If anything you probably wont be too far along by then, or you can just stay on the EU one and run sig patch.

Yes to all your questions. But your save won't work I've heard something about getting it to transfer regions through saviine but I'm not sure.

then there's no point in playing the eur version if you are going to start over when they release the US version

Thanks! Yeah, I don't care about the save. I just wanted to see how it was and how it played. I just have tomorrow to okay it anyway, going on a trip till Tuesday, so I won't make any real progress on the game.

Can I use this sigpatcher instead of CFW for the other games I have? Will the DLC work? Will it work with the US Zelda version as well? Or this is only to make the console region free?

Thanks again.

Yes can use instead of cfw. With the US one, if you get it from USB helper (when it is up), you should not need the sig patcher.

I used CFW, isn't that the same thing?

But it was corrupted or incomplete on new nusgrabber, I downloaded it from USB helper and it did installed.

But, it doesn't let me play it!

It says, "This software region is not compatible with your region"

Damn, I think I'm destined to play it until it releases!

Disclaimer: I use punctuation....heavily.

I've been through the desert...here's what I learned for you and others who are waiting for a US release or just confused and feeling like BOTW broke their heart:

Have space available on your computer (18GB to be safe), SD (13 or 14.5GB), and formatted drive for Wii U (at least 18GB--this game auto-saves a lot and the data will expand by the end of the game; be safe, not sorry.)

Use/DL Mega DL'er 1.7 & IDM to avoid the 5GB DL quota. Restart your browser (if you just installed these programs), start Mega DL'r, set the options (gear icon) in MegaDL to "stream" (click the checkbox to activate--save configuration), and locate your choice Mega link. Right-click-copy the Mega link URL so Mega DL'er can locate the transfer. You can mix-and-match files from any DL, as long as you have the 258(9) files needed to install (i.e. you have/had 4.99GB from Mega, get/got 1.9GB from Gdrive, had to wait six hours before Mega lets you re-Dl the remaining files or have/had corrupted files that loaded as ".app PART" (*you can thankfully salvage a DL if you know what to replace. Also good to note, if you have to, you can DL each file from Gdrive individually.*)

Get the game from a good source (try to use Mega and Gdrivde to reference .h3 and .app files, should you encounter an issue) and double check what you're DL looks like (9.82, but can be 9.83 on disk; never 1.9GB alone, even when zipped (didn't work for some--files were missing).) There will be 258 files from DL, +1 with title.tik (found elsewhere.) You'll need the v16 update, as well (2.2GB.)

In the mean time, get a flash drive to format for Wii U. Boot your Wii U with your USB (even Micro SD with USB attachment will work) in the back, on the top slot; Wii U will ask to format the device. Once complete, go into "Settings", "Data Management", and HOLD D-pad Down&+&- for a few seconds to turn off "Sleep mode" for your drive.

Setup HBL on your Wii U SD card (if you haven't yet) and just to make life easy: find HB App store (I think @'FIX94 created that--thank you (if not, I'll edit)) so you can DL Mocha CFW and MOD Y WUPinstaller and any other thing of wondrous joy you might have an interest in.

After your DL is complete, title.tik is placed within the game files (.h3 and .app), and update unzipped:
make a folder on your SD card titled "install"
place the game/0005000... (.h3 and .app) in "install"
place the extracted v16update in "install"

Start HBL, load Mocha, leave the options as they are, unless you know what you want, press "A"; you'll be in a patched HOME menu--go back into HBL, load WUPinstaller, select your game folder, press "X" to load into your USB drive (everything should be fine when it resets--unless the error report pops up for some reason.) Find your update folder and press "X" to install to USB. In your HOME menu, you should see a familiar face.

FUN STUFF: If you have limited space on your PC, try IObit toolbox for HDD analyzer. It's free and it does a good job of finding/deleting .tmp files, as well as other files you were looking for, but couldn't find. It may not be your Jesus, but it won't be your Judas.

USB Disk Ejector is a great program to have. Sometimes, Windows lies to you about ejecting disks; you'll Right-click, Eject, and remove your drive. Later, you'll be told, "Format Disk?" So don't take a chance believing it's actually ejected your precious data.

I think all of that made sense...I've been up for hours; what else is new.

where can i get warm clothes? Help :P

I'm guessing you're heading to the shrines. Not-so-easy way, for the time being: use the axe to chop down a tree in to a trunk to get planks. Then, find a fire close to you (make a map marker, if needed) and place planks along the way so you can return to each campfire before you freeze or have the torch/stick/club burnout. Next, light something (stick/club/etc,) on fire and ignite planks. Easier, but time-consuming: find Peppers (check by the wall near the T.o.T., before you go toward the snowy mountain trail), apple/fish/Hylian Mushroom, and a STEW POT, NOT OPEN FIRE. Press "+" to open menu, go to your items, "hold" items, press "B" to drop in pot; you should get some concoction that keeps you warm for three minutes.

NO spoiler. But wow the game in Hyrule castle goes very slow to 15-20fps almost always. How does nintendo release a game like that?

What do you mean?? I'm all the way past the "big reveal", and I haven't encountered any massive drops.

Are you using a freshly formatted drive with only BOTW installed? For that matter, are you using Loadiine?

How exactly do you use Haxchi for region free stuff? All I got after installing it is a homebrew launcher icon. I hold b when opening it like I read in the Haxchi page but it still just opens the launcher. All see in the launcher about Haxchi is the installer I already used.

Haxchi is just a permanent exploit that takes the place of a legit ds game. So that you don't have to use a web site/server to get to homebrew. From there you can install CBHC to get a permanent region free/sig patch.

Can I do it without CBHC? I might install that later but not now. I read that I have to "load haxchi every time" if I don't have CBHC, I'm fine with that for now. Do I just use the homebrew icon? Does that make Haxchi run? Do you know what the "Hold B" thing means?

If you're following "that" walkthrough, make sure to swap the config file and reapply Haxchi. I did the exact same thing, skipped over the modified Haxchi.
