I installed under mocha (which I think blocks nintendo update servers automatically) so i can't comment on installing under system nand but bricking via DNS doesn't sound possible to me.

I doubt it. DNS is meant to block updates via Nintendo servers. Even if you turn it off now, nothing bad is gonna happen because there's no update in the eshop.

Yeah I think there has been some misinformation floating around. You don't need to do anything besides have a sig patching method (mocha or sig patched sysnand), and install both the game and update via WUP.

Anyone know if the update (3GB) is included on disc or not? I may not have internet ready when I get this game, or at least it will be potentially annoying to download the update, so I hope it's on the disc.
