Gaming Does a DS Lite work without the touch screen's little ribbon cable ?

I torn my little ribbon cable of the touch screen of my ds lite but the big one is just fine. So my question is : Will it work without that little cable ?

I believe the little cable is for the touch sensitivity itself. The big one is just for the display.

If the little one is torn you will most likely lose all touch sensitivity.

I tried to turn it on but only the top screen flashes ...

So it flashes and then turns off immediately? That torn cable is shorting something out. You're going to need to replace what you broke.

Do you have a ds lite with you ? Can you do a little experiment for me ? Take out the little ribbon then turn it on to see if it works or not. I'd be thankful if you do
