Is the NX a home console or handheld portable console? If it's the latter, perhaps Nintendo would give 3DS more leeway and putting more effort into NX come the turn of the year?

Reggie called the NX a home console and the Wii U is the system that's struggling. The 3ds also has a bunch of games releasing next year, so it will probably be a while before EoL. Someone might release an arm9 exploit when downgrading is completely patched though.

annoying thing is when they release the next handheld we will have to wait for it to be exploited again and it may not ever be exploited at all just like the xbox one. Before the pokemon inject thing with the browser most of us had to play legit.

And how do you know for certain that the game will require 11.1? Unless you are doing what you seem to do best in these forums and make baseless assumptions before any real details about it come out. But I would love to be proven wrong with some valid source stating it is going to require 11.1.

The assumption on them requiring 11.1 is pretty much based on what they want to support. It will come with 11.0 minimum (and likely require 11.0 firm minimum) because it will be bad to package them with lower fw and have them work on consoles which can easily install the legal cias. There is a chance though that it does come on 11.1 or later depending on when they start producing the carts.

S/M is gonna release in China on 11/18, which means that the CIA (non legit) is gonna be leaked online ~2-3 weaks bfore the release date
Which means we will be able to get it during early/mid october
Get a CFW if you want to play it bfore release date

well x and y and oras both got like leaked like 1 week early not the roms though but more people have cfw now so it should get dumped earlier then oras was because of review copys it certainly will get leaked before resale date Pokemon like one of the best games on the 3ds so people will try to get it early also oras and x and y weren't even released in china and got leaked so if china's getting the games to and there a country known to leak and pirate stuff that it will mean it could be leaked even earlier .

Same. Already own both a n3ds and an o3ds, no real reason for me to spend $80 just to pull a legit Sun/Moon from. I'm already poor enough working a near-minimium wage job and paying for college. I'll leave it for someone who actually has money to do it.

That person was doing the downgrade method wrong (DSiware transfer downgrade isn't flawless) for FW 11.0 systems because Legit CIAs of Sun/Moon have been dumped as of Christmas Eve last year.
