DSi still doesn't have any real softmodding solution. Best you can really do is hardmod if you have a new console. If not for scanlime's RAM dumping setup, and after that the 3DS and DS (for finding crypto flaws and installing vulns on cartridges) it would be pretty much solid. It wouldn't surprise me if there ends up being no real method to pirate on the Switch.

Nope.
Nintendo always has that one giant fuckup in their consoles that allow for easy piracy, might not enable homebrew tho.
The only reason it took so long for the WiiU is because people didn't give a shit, and f0f never decided to make any of their work public except for cockteasing us with checksums of keys.
I'd say the chances of the system getting hacked are based on how successful the console will be in the end.

The GameCube has multiple exploitable games. Super Smash Bros. Melee, PSO 1&2. Also there's Action Replay and other shit released by Datel that can easily boot homebrew.
For this console all you need is an entrypoint. You don't need any advanced kernel/iosu exploits like how it is now.
The only thing that's different is that there is no permanent boot exploit for it, unless you go ahead and solder a chip with an IPL replacement to the board (like tmbinc's or viper/qoob etc).

Was just one single custom packet. I miss when Internet security was an afterthought lol almost all modems and network hardware operated in promiscuous mode.

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid

I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much

Yea that crazy, I've never tried hack into anything, I just pirate, and my ISP have send me 3-4 letters, so had to VPN it
