For me, not really a resolution but more of a quitting thing, is smoking :v Not sure if it applies, but yeah.

Actually there was some development on mine.
I had to change a monitor so 1280x1024 and 1080p is what it became.

I'm going to learn something new, like soldering. My wife tried to quit smoking 3 different times. Finally, she got bronchitis and just couldn't smoke for weeks. That was the last straw. She hasn't smoked for 10 years now. It's one of the hardest/best things to do. YOU CAN DO IT!
Also, good luck with the transition. Don't let ANYONE tell you what you can, or can't do! A friend of mine came out recently with similar news and lost a couple friends. That would be so heartbreaking. Go where your heart tells you and you'll never be wrong.

My new year's resolution is the same it's always been since 2012: 1920x1080.

(My goal is 4K in the coming years, but I don't need 4K yet, I don't have a graphics card that can drive 4K.)

@RevPokemon - I've had a story I've been wanting to write for the last year myself. It's in a fantasy setting and I have a few notes down somewhere along with an alpha bio of some of the main characters. I just need to stop being lazy and iron it out.

VERY BASIC OVERALL PLOT - Setting - Fantasy however this will change over time to out modern world and eventually the future.

The main character gains the spirt of a phoenix and therefore immortality and lives through many ages helping many people. He will lose friends and lovers along the way.
