i know this sounds dumb but ill ask anyway. so for starters what will happen or advantages of deleting old tickets? does uninstalling games through system settings wont delete ticket of the uninstalled game? tnx
Uninstalling games properly via settings leaves the ticket so you can redownload your legitimate purchases from the eshop. If you have store items purchased without an NNID, the ticket on your console is all that lets you download again, so if you had the game uninstalled, and you used tiksweep to clean up your system, you would no longer be able to download that game from the store again without buying another copy.

isn't some of that still server sided? formatting the system doesn't erase your eshop purchases even if you don't have NNID.

Yeah, I think there's still a server component but I'm not sure when or how tickets are replaced without an NNID. Are we sure that a system format actually removes tickets as well? I'm pretty sure I've seen people advocate dumping tickets out of formatted, used systems from gamestop or whatever in order to add them to that title keys site....

System Format doesn't clear tickets. As far as I know the only way to truly delete or deactivate tickets in an official way is doing a System Transfer. The source console will get wiped entirely.

This is really amazing and I'm so sooo glad this exists. Admittedly I had waaaaaaay too many tickets installed from back in the pre-Free-Shop days cough I did some shady stuff with FunKeyCia cough. Currently got the homebrew running with my 3DS on the charger - if it spits out an amount once it's done i'll edit it in.

Edit:

Total Tickets: 1475
Deleted tickets: 1129

Thanks! I just tried this, it cleared 3 tickets:
  • Nintendo Letter Box (Swapnote)
  • Tomodachi Life demo
  • YouTube
The wrapped YouTube icon came back again just after closing tikSweep (possibly because WiFi was enabled and connected at the time). I just unwrapped, answered no when it asked to install YouTube, and then yes to delete the icon.

Question on potential uses of this:

I got official themes.
Then I pirated some theme (some that I installed were official theme i already had)
Going into Eshop removed all my pirated themes (including theme I got officially, but then installed pirated version)
Tried to go to theme shop to redownload my official themes, but I get the gray out button "Already owned". I assume this is due to the tickets leftover from pirated version.

Would this app solve that problem?

That means any old preloads like Mario Kart 7 or that Zelda game would no longer be accessible correct? They're stored on the console rather than attached to the NNID.

edit: The program doesn't seem to like the 3DS going into sleep mode, had a black screen and had to use the power button to shut down the system.

I never had any bundled games on any of my systems, so I'm unable to test if this is true though I would expect it to be the case. It probably wouldn't be too hard to find a replacement legit ticket for them if you accidentally cleared yours off however.

i think preloads starting w/ the ALBW 3DS wouldnt haveto worry as they started leaving more or less (Except the Pokemon anniversery 3DS) a eShop Code you redeem (i can atleast attest to the ALBW O3DS XL as thats how it was w/ mine. )
