Of course there's no backwards compatibility. We know that. What are you trying to say?
if you read most of his post he doesn't know what he is talking about. just ignore him like everyone else.
tl;dr
Even though Nintendo has stated its a home console it will kill the 3DS. Nintendo does not care about an old console like the 3DS. They aren't gonna drop it like Sony did the Vita, but it will eventually fade away. The switch will not cost a ton of money, at least not for the tablet section. The accessories will kill your bank account I'm sure. It's an Nvidia tablet and with Nintendo's resources they can make them pretty cheap. it'll be aorund the $300 mark I'm sure for the base model. Maybe even less if they sell the tablet by itself.
From a pure business standpoint and to make money, they are going to make this their main home/portable console. It may not fit in your pocket but everyone now a days doesn't mind carrying a small tablet with them. IT's simple economics that they will consolidate into one console that is portable and a home console. Everyone has seen the whole android tablets that plug into a TV, and that's exactly what this is. But it will actually have a chance to become a big thing because it is from Nintendo.
but yea, simply put it will kill the previous consoles of Nintendo. Well the Wii U was already dead, but the 3DS is at the end of it's life cycle anyways. Great machine and I'll keep it but Android already has DS and before emulators, and 3DS emulation is getting better, so why can't Nintendo do it on their new switch? They can and will, just to get money. It has already happened with previous consoles so why would they ever change their strategy when it works.
also Nintendo won't ever tell us the 3DS is going to be replace until at least after christmas, they don't want people not buying their system because it'll be replaced soon. That's why they've stated they aren't going to give more details on the Switch until 2017. Gotta make that X-mas money!!!
Plain and simple the Switch will start the phasing out of all the Nintendo consoles, if it succeeds the first year or two that is.
