Hmm, so I just updated my A9LH but my O3DS doesn't boot up without the SD. Don't know why, though.

EDIT: Ok, now I know why. The commits have been added but a stable pre-compiled build hasn't been released yet. Guess I'll wait then for an official release.

I have a question. I use a9lh in combination with Luma3ds on my New 3ds with firmware 11.0.

I updated Luma3ds from 5.4 to 5.5 by using the updater program on my 3ds. But now my 3ds won't boot normally anymore, the screens stay black. I can however, boot by pressing select and power to get to the config menu.

Any ideas what could be causing this and how it can be fixed?

Is Luma3DS region free for example can I pop a JAP cart into my US console running A9LH and expect it to run and save as normal?

Might seem silly, but did you try manually downloading Luma v5.5 and replacing the arm9loaderhax.bin you currently have on the SD card?

If that fails to work, try deleting the config.bin file in the /luma folder.

Yes, and CIAs too.

Ok guys I need help. "noob-proof" is not correct at all apparently.

So I've been running Reinand for a while now, and before I update my Emunand to 11.xx I figured I should update my CFW just in case. So I use CtrBootManager to boot reinand, and for weeks now i've been trying to find out why I can't boot into Luma3DS. It does not boot, at all. I've followed everything, and read like 100 pages and used search to find out why but I can't figure it out.

So to use Luma3DS with a boot manager I have to change the path with the files given. However, all the instructions say Luma3ds.Bin and there is no .Bin. Theres a .Dat and I've tried with that, but it does not seem to work or do anything.

Then I tried to remove the bootmanager, and I still don't know how. I've backed up my SD card and started deleting everything I can with the boot.3dsx or boot.cfg or menuhax_Manager, etc...etc... and STILL every time it boots, it goes right into a boot manager trying to make a new Config File. I'm totally lost guys, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. All the files are in the right place, and menuhax works just fine for Reinand.

Any advice?

*edit* - Managed somehow to get it to load from boot manager and I can get into the config by holding select, but It just hangs at a black screen if I let it boot. Seems like a more specific issue. Am I missing a file somewhere? like a firmware.bin/emunand.bin or something?

**edit** Yeah ok its something on my N3DS XL. I just updated my sisters O3DS XL with Luma without issue. It did not run any boot manager. So I just need to figure out how to get rid of boot manager and keep menuhax running

Do you use a9lh? Uf so then :
I think what they mean with lumas bin is the payload you use to actually launch luma. Ny default it's named something like arm9haxpayload or but you mostlikely renamed/moved it elsewhere it to work with boot manager.

Yes, finally a9lh works without sd card. thank you. You have to compile it yourself. "pre-compiled" is for updating. It took an hour to notice this. lol

Here's the new arm9loaderhax with no-sd and dual screen init features.
Follow the guide exactly except replace the stage1 and stage2 included in the attachment.
