What happens when you use MSET 4.x on a 2DS is when you do a system format you get stuck on the set-up process because you are forced to set the 3D slider to max or you can't continue and since the 2DS doesn't have one your stuck.

Haha yep as soon as the 3D switch was mentioned, I realized what the snafu would be. :-)

And... I just got emunand to boot! It's weird, though, but following a suggestion a number of pages back, I had to name my firmware to 0004013820000002orig.bin and then it booted.

Now when I launch MSET, though, I'm going into Gateway lol. Is there a way to install the ROP without a DS cart?

Also, does the N3DS with rxTools support emunand 9.9?

N3DS only supports up to emuNand 9.5 as 9.6 brought new encryption that hasn't been cracked yet. Even Gateway is stuck with 9.5.

Well, will there ever be a kernel exploit for 9.9? Lets wait and see, i got a spare 3ds xl with 9.9 i can test rxtools on but i cannot do that right now as there is no kernel exploit and the first ever exploit i run on it was ironhax. It has no earlier nand.bin backup. Well, i got Ironfall Invasion on it before it was removed from the eshop which is nice but my main 3ds doesn't work anymore

Is it possible to load ninjhax 1.1 on ironfall invasion file on 9.9? Im not sure if the pasta/rxtools not loading restriction is something from 9.9 firmware or smealum did it on purpose. Well we cant even install legit cia files...

Ah, right. I was reading about key leaks. Makes sense now. Hopefully with the keys out in the open, the devs will get 9.9 working soon.

Latest build contains broken rxinstaller.If you use latest build,try to use test build in a few page ago.

I am using the test build and system settings just crashes. I should clarify I am using a N3DS.

mset rop can be installed using fbi cia installer or by qr code i think but im sure updated fbi has mset rop installer for n3ds

Where is the ROP file for rxTools? Is it the rxinstaller.bin in the mset folder?

Did you replace rxinstaller.nds and install rop of 4.X NDG rxtools?
Did you put code.bin in /rxtools/sys?

If you have already done them, I don't have any idea.Sorry.

Nevermind, didn't realize the triggers switched the ROP selection. the rxtools3.x option didn't work, though. Maybe FBI isn't up to date with the ROP needed for recent rxTools builds?

After a few more hours and multiple different builds I still couldn't get it to work. I know this specific firmware version probably is not a priority, but is this going to get a fix or am I doing something wrong?
N3ds 8.1.0-0J MSET not working.

Well I've resorted to try to use sudokuhax to try to get the ROP injected, since I have no flash cart. Not having much luck with it, though. The sudokuhax instructions suck lol.

Format emunand on the new card, use the emunand tool to transfer your emunand, and then copy files.

I'm having trouble putting RxTools on the DS profile

I installed the mset.bin correctly but after that I put the code.bin on the root of my SD card then went to http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop/?LoadCode.dat, got the error occured thing to pop up so I turned off my 3DS and turned it on went to the DS profile but it rxtools didnt boot up

any ideas? I'm on 7.2 on my sysnand if it matters
