I've tried reinstalling is several times, but all i get is

Not sure about what file you're talking about. Do you have something like this on your SD? Ignore the other folders, only important here is SD:/3ds/save_manager/ and the two files.

Some games are not working. They give blank/glitchy/black screens. This was just posted today. It would be good to do a compatibility list in the future. Or wait for smea's TDVS.

ACTUALLY IT WORKED. When you have black screen just press a, wait for a bit then turn off your system. Afterwardsgo to your sd card then the save data should be there.

1. So, I enter, let's say... Ironhax.

2. Then I select save_manager, and press A. (I suffer myopia, that's the reason for the fuzzy photos )

3. Now I must select the title (game) I want to use so that I don't choose System Settings. Let's move left, or right...

4. Finally! Found Smash on my list. Then I press A.

5. These options appeared after some glitchy screens (less than 5 seconds after the last screen). So now I'm good to go.

I'm new to all of this, just wanted to take some photos so I didn't forget about this.

I tried this with several games, some give blank screens. And some backup alright. Pokémon ORAS and SSB working great with PKHex and Smash Editor for Backing Up and Importing.

It's only working with Ninjhax 2.1 / Ironhax 2.1 just as @Senoue pointed out. Both on O3DS and N3DS.

Strong desire to edit a save file of mine for a game no one has made an editor for, most likely corrupting my game or whatever, hahah. I will mess with it later, I guess.

If you're getting a black screen after selecting the game, you could try what @Vanhawk said, try pressing A, wait a while, turn off the console, and check if the save was backed up. You should find a "save... " something folder in your SD card root.

I'm not! I can't even get it to access the game to let me select it! Both files are there and I have the new Ironhax. So what's the problem?????????

You should use the D-Pad left or right for selecting a game, so you don't select System Settings.

Just tried with my digital copy of Smash 3DS. I got a glitchy screen every time. It sucks because I can dump and inject Pokemon X, Pokemon Rumble World, and Pokemon Shuffle saves (though the manager gives me an error when I try to inject an edited Shuffle save) just fine.

My digital copy of Smash works just fine. You could try pressing "A" on the glitchy screen, wait a little, turn it off, and check if the backup data is in the SD root.

Welp, I think I've lost my Smash save data. I tried modifying the save, didn't work. I tried putting in my original save, didn't work. grah
