Hacking NinjHax on 8.1 N3DS without browser.

sounds like a lie. ninjhax needs the browser (either spider or SKATER) to run at all, not just for installing. it won't work, sorry.

I'm not going to correct the man who made the exploit. But 2 months ago I was running HBC on 8.1 playing Blagsnes with no sound but it did run.

You only need the browser to install the exploit not to run it. So install on a old 3ds then put the game in a 8.1 New 3ds = profit
Some facts
1. Smea's regionfree won't work so don't even try it
2. Sky3ds bluebutton cards also don't work
3. Red button cards R5,K3ds,Sky work
4. QQ3ds is a blue button sky so it won't work
5. retail card should work but I don't own one so can't confirm
6. If using a red button card it must be the first 10!!

Where'd no. 2 come from? I was using Ninjhax on my Blue Button card when I had 9.2... or is it only for 8.1? ...and yes, I have a N3DS.

Just to keep this thread kinda updated, i talked to the OP and he explained that this is true, he obtained 8.1 ninjhax, however he soon found out his 8.1.0-0j was a super rare console that had the browser update installed.

You could install ninjhax 2.0, will run most homebrew just fine, and I believe it won't require the browser to run.

It requires the browser to install to the card which was the point of the post. It was an old bump and should probably be locked now that it's been resolved.

NTR CFW 2.2 supports 8.1.0-0J.
If someone can hack it to fix ninjhax 1.1b then it may be able to support 8.1.0-0J.

no no, GW works easy on 8.1, just you can't update. Also the multi-rom menu and some other features were "glitchy" or non functional on 8.1 so that's why 8.1 is a crappy situation.

Well the only way to update to 9.x (9.0 or 9.2) would be to use CDN to update with NTR, however Nintendo pulled their updates from CDN and it no longer works. So updating is a sad no right now. You could find a way to get access to a "dev mode" which isn't firmlaunch, kinda like pasta, but GW doesn't have that, and everything else needed to update (pasta, things that won't brick the 3ds) is accessed through Cubic Ninja and you can't access Cubic Ninja without a browser. So it's a pickle. But i'm working on ~5 ways to fix this little mess we have going here.

You can update emunand 8.1 to 9.5 just not 8.1 system nand from 8.1 to 9.2

Gateway works just fine on 8.1j emunand. There was issues in the first 3.1 release but they have been fixed since then

I'm aware; thats why I said you can update emunand but not system nand. You're correct when you said there where problems with the multi rom menu preventing you from updating emunand but has been fixed
