OK, now I'm confused. It seems there's a lot of fixes and improve and somehow I can't find even a single link. What's the latest version and where do I get it?

I'm just looking for a pure region free support for rxTools man....

What was the name of that file I need to create to make it launch the rx menu every time?

I don't remember that, but 3.0 has that option under "Settings" (or was it "Options"? It's the second-to-last menu, beside Credits).

I tried to downgrade my MSET to 6.x but I get error: Bad Downgrade Pack.

I get the same MD5 with beta7. Looks like you'll have to downgrade it manually.

rxTools v3.0 Beta8-fix : 2015-07-22 (Gadorach-build)

- Changed MSET downgrade options to X/Y and added B to cancel. (@VerseHell's request)
- Fixed check in MSET downgrade to allow for MSET to be installed if installed version is not the version you're trying to install. (Should fix GW downgraded MSET failing both checks, and wrong triggers. Also allows 4.x MSET to upgrade to 6.x, and vice-versa)

I've a 2DS with FW 8.1.0-14U, I can run RXTools via Browser exploit.

Just want to ask how the MSET installation works, I read somewhere that in can be install (the latest RXTools MSET) to ODS/2DS between 6.x to 9.2.

I've a DS flashcart and whenever I try to run the mset file, it will install but nothing happens whenever I try to access the DS profile.

Do I need to update to 9.2? Is it possible that my FW is not supported?

My goal is to launch RXTools without the browser exploit, so I will use MSET instead.

You have to downgrade your 8.1 MSET to 6.X MSET. Run msetdg.py to get the bin file, put it on your sd card.
Use the "Downgrade MSET" option in the rxtools menu to downgrade it, then you can use your DS Flashcart to run rxCakeROP.nds

I believe you have to downgrade the MSET to 6.x. DO NOT DOWNGRADE IT TO 4.X or you WILL CAUSE A SOFT BRICK SHOULD YOU FORMAT SYSTEM.

Suggestion for the MSETDG.PY script. Ask the user what type of 3DS they have so they cannot install the 4.x MSET on a 2DS.

How about this: Have rxTools check what system is being used (if that is possible) and refuse to install the 4.x MSET if a 2DS is detected.

"rxTools.dat" is to load the basic rxTools.dat and "ropCustom.txt" to load a .dat with a custom name, custom names has to be write in a file named ropCustom.txt

It has to do with your System Version. If you are running a 4.x system use the 4.x option. If you are running 5.x-9.2 use the 9.x option. Nintendo made a major change starting in System 5.x which requires a slightly different hack. Don't confuse this with your emuNand version.

2. copy rxinstaller.nds to DS flash cart's SD card
3. Run rxTools via web exploit and hold R for the menu
4. Downgrad mset to 6.x
5. Install rxinstaller.nds using the DS flash cart and choose 9.x
6. Go to DS profile and rxtools should be loaded via mset
