ok some are compatible upto 4.4, so it will probably be blocked via TWL_FIRM.....so unless your on a standard 3DS and downgrade to 4.x you wont be able to use the action replay

My friends 3DS broke my AR DSi. I put it in his console and launched it - the screen froze on red. I removed the card and put it in my DSi and it just kept making a red screen... I don't have it anymore though

actually im not sure it seems they released a patch after 4.4, so it *might* work with just the whitelist disabled

I have an updated ARDSi, and I think it was patched in 4.4. so im on 9.2, Might it work? Or is there no or little chance?

give it a try, the whitelist cia just disables the white list, you can make a nand dunp first to restore afterwards if it doesn't help and you dont want to keep the whitelist installed, but its worth a shot

PS read that link i posted, it has a patch for the dsi AR that made it work on 4.4 so with any luck it wasnt blocked again via TWL in which case flashcardtimewarp would make it work

Yes, but you need to add a usrcheat.dat in the_rpg folder if I remember correctly. You can easily find everything on the forum just search wood cheat database and you'll sort it out. If you can't locate the database get it in YSmenu also in GBATEMP it's the same file.

So now that gateway is out for the N3DS, does this work? And is there a guide for doing it, from the OP it seems like it would have to be used on sysnand, or is that outdated? The N3DS is my first console and being able to play ds games with my soon to arrive gateway would improve my library significantly

yeah it works fine, here is how you make your own cia so you dont have to hunt the file down

yeah, the whitelist is installed to the nand so you dont need the spare SD after its installed

It should be a lot easier to update to 9.x once Gateway fixes the multi-rom menu being broken in emuNAND 8.1. Then we can actually install update CIAs to emuNAND to go up to 9.5.
