Well I updated from 5.1 to 5.2.3 today.

Needed to transfer all my Wii Data to the WiiU, needed internet access and eShop.

Oh Well.

Hopefully what ever is cooking will still work on the 5.2.3 Firmware.

Thanks to some suggestions by Kinnay over on RVLution, SARCExtract is now even faster. All credit goes to him for these tweaks.
If you want a specific benchmark, I ran it on CourseSelectTexture.szs (12.7 MB (13,413,912 bytes)). v0.1 takes 73 seconds, v0.2 takes about 60, this newest one takes 37 seconds.
Python Script
32-Bit EXE

Also, based on the decoder, he's released a SM3DW level editor. It's very basic right now, not even rendering textures, but supposedly it works on editing position/rotation/scale. Nobody's able to test it though, for obvious reasons. Feel free to send in a pull request.

EDIT: Oops, this is why you test stuff. Redownload it.

Pretty much my final version of this unless something comes up. Fixed error where titleid was not found and added the auto decrypt process post download.

To run, you'll need Python 3 installed. Just put your ckey.bin, CDecrypt.exe and libeay.dll in the same folder with nuspy.py. Download and auto decrypt whichever title you want.

Credit goes to WulfyStylez and Bug_Checker_ for walking me through the process and NWPlayer123 for the auto decrypting idea from this own script.

It's really a shame that modifying games usually is done through methods made for piracy. It's really good to see people working on patching retail disks and such, though!

Err, that being said, Marionumber1 and co, were you guys still planning on limiting memory editing? Because it just occurred to me that a great handful of games won't be editable without that. Because of RSA checks, custom checksums, and that sort of thing. I know 360 and the original xbox needed patches like that for a good handful of games to run, and I'm sure this would be the same way since it's a modern platform.

My plan to do something similar to Riivolution, which would allow file patches and memory patches. Memory patches in Riivolution are normally used to implement game ASM hacks, such as all the Newer SMBW code hacks and my Red Star and Ice Flower patch for SMG2. I would have something similar in the Wii U version, allowing game code (but not anything outside of that) to be patched.

That'd be excellent! I suppose some game code can be edited for cheat'y stuff, but this would still be a lot better than full access in that regard.

Relax, I was kidding, you're not the type to lie. I'm really glad that we can get internet access again. Speaking of, are there plans to have a "DownloadMii" for Wii U? Or has that been answered?

thanks for your reply's , but am i better off staying on lower firmware ? jammy says to stay on lowest firmware possible , i really don't want to miss out on anything , look what happened with the ps3 :D

You going to trust a random who can't write properly or one of the developers of the exploit?

Not from the team, I'm sure someone will make something like it eventually. That might even be my first project once all this is finished.

Re-read all of THIS. If you aren't convinced... try THIS.

Oh hell yeah; cheers!

inb4 it's a lie and we're stuck in a ps3-type situation.

That'd be great; I'd love to help, but I don't Python just yet.
