Nobody's able to test it though, for obvious reasons.
It's really a shame that modifying games usually is done through methods made for piracy. It's really good to see people working on patching retail disks and such, though!
Err, that being said, Marionumber1 and co, were you guys still planning on limiting memory editing? Because it just occurred to me that a great handful of games won't be editable without that. Because of RSA checks, custom checksums, and that sort of thing. I know 360 and the original xbox needed patches like that for a good handful of games to run, and I'm sure this would be the same way since it's a modern platform.
My plan to do something similar to Riivolution, which would allow file patches and memory patches. Memory patches in Riivolution are normally used to implement game ASM hacks, such as all the Newer SMBW code hacks and my Red Star and Ice Flower patch for SMG2. I would have something similar in the Wii U version, allowing game code (but not anything outside of that) to be patched.
That'd be excellent! I suppose some game code can be edited for cheat'y stuff, but this would still be a lot better than full access in that regard.
Wanted one myself but no tesco close by to risk not picking one upHi just got a lego city undercover bundle brand new for very cheap in the uk, what firmware would these come with anyone know ?
, also got a wii u basic white model 8gb brand new , might just keep this one as a spare lol

the lower firmware the better.
Quote: "I've checked all kernel code from 4.1.0 all the way up to 5.3.2 and what we're trying to exploit didn't suffer any kind of change"
thanks for your reply's , but am i better off staying on lower firmware ? jammy says to stay on lowest firmware possible , i really don't want to miss out on anything , look what happened with the ps3
Relax, I was kidding, you're not the type to lie. I'm really glad that we can get internet access again. Speaking of, are there plans to have a "DownloadMii" for Wii U? Or has that been answered?

Oh hell yeah; cheers!
inb4 it's a lie and we're stuck in a ps3-type situation.
Not from the team, I'm sure someone will make something like it eventually. That might even be my first project once all this is finished.
inb4 Nintendo quick throws up a 5.3.3.
