How does that even make it any sense???

I can only assume this refers to some sort of copy protection, so that others couldn't steal their work.
But if that's the case it's not like they need to implement something new, as they had it from the start.
Remember when people tried to modify Gateway code and it would brick their 3DS. It's not like they have to create anything from scratch to protect their work.
So yeah that post seems kinda pointless to me as well.

thank god I got a backup Xmas present for my little brother, the gateway cards I bought for his 9.2 3ds (blocked his 3DS from going online) will be a disappointment if " around the corner " translates to " sometime in 2015 ".

Yeah except it's quite clear Mt have a good understanding of their old copy protection, they will likely have a whole new type of protection in place rather than.relying on their already bypassed protection

With every hour that passes that seems more likely to me, I start to think we interpret too much into the "around the corner" statement.
Maybe the Gateway team has a different understanding of that term. xd

I've been telling people since the beginning that a corner can be big and round which makes necessary a lot more time to pass to the other side.
But people only can think about small and square corners...

It's not going to be any day this week for sure. I don't know why people here take the term 'around the corner' so literally. They are foreign people, they can mean any time.

It seems their translator speaks proper English to know what "around the corner" means.

While I know that it's just a play on words, they already confirmed in one of the e-mails posted here, that we don't have to wait "months".
