I do wonder why they re-used the same textures from ocarina of time 3ds link. I know it probably would've been time consuming to create a new look for majora's mask 3ds link but it'd be nice if they updated the 3d model and his palette a little darker, -5 or -10 maybe...but I'm not complaining/nitpicking haha  a timeless classic remade into beautiful 3d~

I wish I hadn't played this game like 100 times already. I own the N64 cart here since I was a kid, it's a fantastic, complex game, but I'm pretty sick of it - don't see myself playing it again anytime soon. Still might buy the 3DS version for when I feel like replaying, and also support Nintendo for listening to their fans.

Something just occurred to me... In OoT 3D, the dpad had no use whatsoever. They should allow the four dpad directions to be used as shortcut keys to equip masks. Seriously, switching masks in MM was often more of an annoyance than the iron boots in OoT for how many masks you had to use in quick succession sometimes. Giving four extra buttons dedicated to masks, as well as the two main buttons and touch screen buttons, would alleviate that.

Well, if you think about it Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are like counterparts. They shared the same console, they shared the same visual qualities as well. The remakes have done the same. I think it's a pleasing novelty.

June 30th 2015 Release date apparently. Haven't seen it myself though.

Update:The date has been changed on the Nintendo UK Store and now says it will be released on June 30th 2015.

Several people have contacted us to say that the Nintendo UK Store currently hasThe Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3Dlisted with a February 15threlease date. When the game was announced yesterday, Nintendo simply said they were targeting a spring 2015 release. This specific date on the store could be an error, but let’s hope someone slipped up and that we will get the game in February.

Hmmm. Not sure if I'll buy these. Played until I obtained the Zora mask on the GC disc. And I didn't even beat OoT 3d. I got to Ganon's tower and said screw this! I couldn't beat his human form on the gc disc, so I didn't even try with the 3d remake. The sad thing is I techly own 3 different guides for oot, Original, collector disc and the 3d guides. Traded oot 3d for 10 less then what I paid for it soooo.

EDIT: I never owned the n64 cart and never played the n64 cart past the deku tree.

Try board games - they're easier. ^_^

Lol it's really not that hard to beat him, the light arrows are your best friend if you have them handy and know how to use them and whaaaat!? You traded it??? Y u no keep. :(

True and embarrassing as it is to say, I like the new set of teeth the moon is sporting in the 3d version haha.

Has anyone think about the future of zelda games on the 3ds?
With 2 console like zelda remakes.
The is little to no chance that the next zelda game will be a console like zelda game.
And maybe there wont be another zelda for 3ds at all.
The 3ds is powerfull enough to have a new original console like zelda game, but nintendo choose to do the easy way.

I wouldn't say that. There's still a huge market for traditional top-down styled Zelda games, and they offer a different kind of experience from the full 3D ones. I personally enjoy both 2D and 3D Zelda in different ways.

Plus, why would Nintendo cannibalize their own console by releasing similar all-new games on the handheld as to what can be done on console? The Wii U is struggling as it is.

A remake to me is from the ground up. However, this and the OoT 3DS version are basically the following:
1. import all levels from n64
2. replace all models
3. replace textures with higher resolution ones and add sprites
4. make a profit with minimal effort
I have a very hard time believing the 3DS version is going to run the N64 code written for the original game. I think calling it a remake is fair, but it's really a remaster. Same core experience, but updated for a newer generation console with enhanced graphics (and 3D support) and possibly remastered soundtrack as well.

I am no longer accepting these cheap efforts by Nintendo and the likes.
Luckily you are given the option not to buy. Remasters/remakes/ports always divide fans: some love them, some don't. This is great for the kind of person who wants to revisit the N64 era Zelda games without an actual N64 or a person who hasn't yet had the chance to play the original when it came out.

This is probably the most accurate way I've seen it described. Though I think enhanced port essentially means the same thing.

Light arrow...No I never master bounce the balls of light back at him in his human form. This may have been due to lag issues caused by the emulation going on in the GC collection. But i'll never know since I traded the 3ds version in w/o even trying to fight him.

As for majora's mask. I got bored with it and moved on to other, better zelda games.

That being said I would of loved if wind waker would of been chosen for the 3ds over majora's
