Will this work with a Sixaxis Dual Shock 3?
I have one of those I am currently using for Nintendont.

HID_Test.dol may help? (download included)

ok, almost done now
with Fix94's help and lots of luck I was able to compile wiiflow with libsixaxis working and all buttons working:
Right/Left to navigate the titles, Left Stick to move the pointer, 2 A and 2 B buttons (square, triangle, circle and X), R1 L1 acts as 1 and 2 buttons to select flow, R2 L2 act as +/- to move skit 10 titles and Start acts as Reset
only thing that's still not working is a "home" button
I'll try tomorrow and hopefully have something to share with you
wish me luck

Here you go:
Wiiflow 4.22 Beta Rev 1075 Mod2

New Features
1. Support for latest and old nintendont autoboot
2. Removed Smart Controller detection for Nintendont and Added HID button in Game settings page 4
Image5.jpg

3. Added Libsixaxis DS3 controller now fully work (only bug still present is rapid button press which makes pressing home reset and pressing A directly launch the game)
However pressing A while using the L-stick and pointer works fine (you can use this to press the home icon and settings and select a title)

Fixing that rapid pressing response is beyond my skills, anyone is welcome to help

4.P.S. MC Emulation is same as NMM on game settings page 3

I'll add this later to the zipped pack when the tiny bug gets fixed
P.S. you can get the updated carbonic Abz ini here (adds effect to hid button): https://www.dropbox.com/s/k03utsund6mu8jt/Carbonik Abz.ini

Special thanks to Daxtsu, megazig, Fix94 and airline38 for their help

So after several reports from both wiiflow and gx users that the custom banner download links are broken. I had a deeper look and found that dropbox direct links only work in https. However the homebrew apps only work with http links...
So I ended up creating a new repo at copy.com and updated the banner url
For usb loader gx users must change the url in glabal config file
As for wiiflow users must download v1075mod2 and delete wiiflow ini or at least delete the custom banner url link under general section.
I've contacted the devs to get this fixed in any future commits.

If I have one of your old master packs installed, what is the best way to go about updating that without messing up all my current custom settings?

Ok, so I updated my Wiiflow boot.dol, and upgraded the Carbonik Abz.ini (which overwrote my customized emuflows [but luckily I backed up my entire SDHC card first]). I did not yet update the entire master pack.

I enabled AUTOBOOT in Nintendont, but the Wiiflow still won't autoboot to the game I've selected.

it does one of 2 things...

1) With Autoboot enabled, it will always load the previous game I played after enabling the Autoboot, and not the game I've selected to load from Wiiflow.

2) Else with Autoboot disabled, it just loads Nintendont, but I still have to manually select the game I want to play, for the second time.

Am I missing something critical still?

I have the exact same problem if i load a gamecube game through wiiflow r1075 mod 2 with nintendont latest version it takes me to the SD/USB menu instead of autobooting the game.

That's really weird, i never had isuues autobooting neither with mod1 nor mod2.
Also it doesn't matter what settings you use in nintendont since nintendont boots via argument when wiiflow launches the game
can you try the nintendont dol in the pack?
P.S I'm using 1.141 didn't check 1.142 yet but this shouldn't matter

Edit: did 1075-mod1 autoboot for you?

R1075 mod1 also did not work same issue, I hope i can figure this out i have been waiting for dualshock 3 support in wiiflow for ever. EDIT= I will try the nintendont dol in the pack and see if that works when i get home later.

Got it to work without changing anything else,
...except that I reloaded Wiiflow as the installed file in the Priiloader, because apparently it caches the installed file and was still using the non-mod r1075, and not the new one. It still shows only as "mod" though, and not "mod2", but never-the-less, it works now. Boots right into the game I chose, SO NICE!!! Thanks Abz!

PS: Hope this might help some of you others also if you launch Wiiflow from Priiloader.

PSS: I hope all of this makes it into the next official revision.

PPSS: I was so excited to boot directly into the game, I almost forgot about the Sixaxis Dual Shock 3 working, until i picked it up in Wiiflow and surprisingly it just connected and worked. Wow, great job, this is so cool!! Thanks again Abz!! :)

They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

I honestly can't recommend any of the big 3 this years I'd say buy a rog ally z1 if we're being honest
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Honestly after the PS3 and 360 I just went full PC
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Every games basically cross platform they only have about 6 titles making it worth the $600 price tag
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
    +1
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I remember having to manually put in drivers and what not
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Yeah the 360 dongles sucked
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
But the new Xbox pads? PIr it up and if a game supports it it just works
