But... my router only accepts 4 adresses to block D:
if u have a pc u can connect the wiiU directly to the pc (if u have wifi u can use connectyfi, and connect the router to pc via ethernet). With the pc in the middle u can block all ip.
OR u can install a modded FW to the router with more possibility

I use a Linksys router WRT54G, do you know about a firmware for that router? (I think it's a little difficult the thing before this)

for block wiiU update:

Block that:
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
a1796.g.akamai.net
2.228.46.114
2.228.46.120
96.17.161.145
184.50.229.158
184.50.229.137

block all akamai.net site, nintendo use akamai for deliver update

Just to clarify, will this only block updates, or all web access. I can still access the Eshop after inputting the above, is this normal?

No, not the eshoo, however if you just input the ips provided in the op so should you indeed be safe and still have Eshoo access.

I'd use DD-WRT on one of those, if it's one of the supported versions. Do you even need a modded firmware to block stuff on that though? I remember Cisco's web UI being pretty powerful.

No, all the time I was having the 8.0 original firmware, since I had this router by 2007, it's very old, but I will try that firmware you say, thanks!

Sorry, should have clarified. I blocked all the addresses in that post, yet still had Eshop access, which I found weird. Just double checked my config, and realized that I had "always allow" checked instead of "Always Deny".... School boy error haha. I'm not a smart man.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
What matters now is that he's doing alright.

But you still don't know what it was?
