also, do we know that pokemon cant hold items when you put them into the pokebank?
as far as I know, we only know for sure that items cant be transfered from black/white1/2 to the pokebank (which happens through a different app). that does not necessarily mean we cant put pokemon with items into bank from x/y.

I think if a frogadier which can be caught in friend safary was caught with a quick ball breeding him will pass down the pokeball

Personally, I don't know what compelled them to break tradition,
But I've been using that to breed Shinies in Premier Balls,
to commemorate the special event. (see what I did there? XD)

I'm assuming the bank will only be compatible with legit cartridges SO I bought a second hand copy of Black and am currently ripping my way through it.

What I want to know, is can I play BW2 on a flash cart and trade over the legendaries to Black 1.

Any ideas?

If the Pokemon are made to look legit, yes.
There's a tool called pokecheck that let's you see if the pokemon you built is legit, or you can download the .pkm file of a pokemon known to pass the legitimacy test.

But, even if you make perfectly legitimate-looking pokemon, we don't know what kind of checks the pokebank will make, and even if those pass the test, you won't be able to use them in official tournaments and events.

Edit: I see you meant playing BW2 and trading the ingame legendaries over to Black, in that case, yes, it should work.

Nintendo will charge for the pokebank so they might put in new protection so no one knows well see your best bet is to get legit pokemon games or just wait until pokebank is released and we will see.

Yeah I'm talking about playing everything legit, I'm a bit of a purist so no hacking for me.

So does that mean the exclusives like kyurem will transfer to black 1? Can someone actually try it out?

Meloetta, but Meloetta is a BW event exclusive, pretty much the only ones you'd have to transfer to BW would be Kyurem Black and Kyurem White.

Ahhhh okay, so I thought Kyurem was a BW2 exclusive. Okay, what about this liberty pass that I clearly missed out on, is there a way to get that traded from someone else?

Right now, the only way to get the Liberty Pass is to either hack it in, or fake the distribution with an r4 card and the distribution file.

Hmm the question is would I still be avoiding a hacked pokedex if I did that...

Well, it's hacked in the sense that you didn't get it from an event, but the pokemon would look the same as if you'd get it legitimately since all the ticket does is let you go to that island and catch the Victiny, which is already in the game.
If you want the Victiny with the move V-Create, you will need to hack it in, but again, it will look exactly the same as if you'd gotten it from the movie event.
As a side note, I'm against hacking pokemon, but I make exceptions with event legendaries, since most of them are not available to most trainers, and are almost impossible to get legitimately.

Edit: I couldn't find the distribution event rom, but I did find a .pkm file, which is exactly the same as the one distributed.

I just realised that I missed 5 legendary pokemon in both diamond and platinum. It's funny, when I was younger I couldn't care less about finding all the secrets. Now that I'm married and have a fricken job all I can do is obsess over getting everything.

I'm not married, but that's the reason it took me around 113 hours to finish X.
I haven't even done the Looker missions.
